I'm sure Ashcroft has figured out that basic fundamental of polling for himself pal.

I've seen a lot of this before, mate. I worked in those markets for over 20yrs.

TBH, I'm about done with arguing with people who think they know better.

Watch what happens if you don't believe me. And if you think it's all over because it hasn't happened next, you've got a nasty wake up call coming.....

So he is the exception is he? Just about every other pollster has got it wrong recently.
What about these results in 2015?
Cannock Chase: On 27 April, Ashcroft had Labour six percentage points ahead. Result: Tories won by 10.5 points.
Castle Point: On 27 April, Ashcroft had the Conservatives five points ahead of Ukip. Result: Tories won by 19.7 points.
Cornwall North: On 1 May, Ashcroft had the Liberal Democrats two points ahead. Result: Tories won by 13.7 points.
Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale: On 1 May, Ashcroft had the SNP 11 points ahead. Result: Tories won by 1.5 points.
Harrow East: On 8 April, Ashcroft had Labour four points ahead. Result: Tories won by 9.7 points.
Morecambe and Lunesdale: On 8 April, Ashcroft had Labour six points ahead. Result: Tories won by 10.6 points.

You were referring to remain voters taking a risk with no perceived benefit?
Why do I doubt you Tobes?

Did they each have a 12,000 sample size?

    I think not

Well done for cherry picking those from the many accurate polls they've produced though.

But of course you've got no issue with the actual content of the poll in question, noooooo. <laugh>

What content? I've not seen it. I'm saying that just because you have a "bigger" sample it doesn't make it correct. Are you saying they just asked about 30 people in each voting area or did they do some more sophisticated representative sampling? And if so, what was it? It would have been pretty expensive to do.

Yes I was, it was hardly obtuse <doh>

As that was the thought process amongst many. The perception was that there was little to be gained and the risk to the economy was massive.

People with jobs and mortgages largely took the safe option, which is what always happens when the electorate is faced with a risky decision to make. They generally make the pragmatic choice.

So far, all this bullshit about people not wanting to deal with us has been proved BS.
We called Obama's bluff, the US have already said they want to start negotiations.
The EU will follow too. They tried to scare the UK into remaining, by some ****ing miracle, it didn't work. (I was convinced it would be 60/40 in favour of remain).
Plus we have opened up opportunities to agree FTAs with other countries closed off to us because of the EU, who were dragging their ****ing heels.

Have a read for yourself and believe what you like pal.

I'm accepting it as representative, if you choose not to, I couldn't give a flying one tbh.

That's fine. Just as long as we are clear that you have no idea whether it is representative or not.

Here's the reality. Pound at a 31 yr low vs dollar. Shares tumbling.

This has just started. Fasten seatbelts, severe turbulence ahead.

Sterling falls and bank, airline and property shares tumble
