His fondness for using tax havens is well known. EU trying to get rid of them. How people can't see through it I don't know !

I pointed out that his opinion carries no more weight, and probably less than many economists who have pointed out the same risks as I have of renewed recession.

Why you have to be so pedantic and try to make smart arse remarks, I've no idea! If you you don't believe what I've said, then just watch what happens.

Nah, the overall picture would look completely different imo. As the middle ground would swing way in favour of the pragmatic choice. People are starting to realise already that they've bought a pup.

Not my man, just someone cited by someone else that caused Mr "markets hate uncertainty" to
    have a hissy fit.

And yes, they do need to get their story straight given they work for the same firm
(if only not to further strengthen my claim that entire sector are morons to a man) . :)

    We know what is happening.
Just don't spout "the markets hate uncertainty" blurb for what is just the pack actions of dumb animals biting out
at something they do not appear to have the intelligence to vaguely measure/predict/control.

except lord ashcrofts poll was of 12,000 people, hardly a representative of the UK as a country and every region. How about you wait for the actual statistics of the referendum that will come out later before mouthing off about this.

    This! Agree so much.

I am worried that the very media that was spoonfeeding this rubbish and fear mongering about immigration and the like before the vote (BBC, Sun, Mail ect) are now running stories with actual facts in underlining how much poor people will lose out on because they voted to leave.

Where was this info before the vote, when it may have made a difference?

A cynic may wonder if they were deliberately keeping people uninformed about the facts and stoking the fears so they could get the vote they wanted (not including the BBC in that, they just do what the Tories tell them to) - which is a deregulated industry and reduced workers protection, environmental regs to abide by and potentially lower wages with the likely scraping of the minimum wage (or continued freezing of it below inflation so a Living Wage is just a dream to millions).

There's been a few polls on the same thing, including a YouGov poll as well.

Wasn't there an in depth one before the referendum on voting intentions saying that Leavers were more likely to be from England, educated to GCSE or below or UKIP supporters, working class. While Remain were likely to be educated to degree level or above, Green party voters or from Northern Ireland.

Whilst that is true, it should have been the remains camp to convince the uninformed that wasn't going to happen rather than break out into the apocalyptic doom mongering that you are persisting. If the government could only have given both the pros and cons of being in and out of the EU instead of having the leave camp paint a fairytale story and the remain camp representing world war 3, then maybe some people might have decided the remain camp would have had a bit more credibility to the people who didn't believe the world war 3 scenario.

Then from there they could debate about Leaves plan on the future and how there would still be free trade and freedom of movement

And this is the Daily Mail...!

One in five business leaders considering moving jobs out of Britain after Brexit vote and a quarter plan hiring freeze

A poll of more than 1,000 members of the Institute of Directors found two out of three believe Brexit will be negative for their business.

A new study has revealed that only one per cent of company chiefs said they will bring operations back to Britain in the wake of the referendum result.

BBC was heavily pro EU. Even a blind man could see that. What didn't help was Cameron not having a proper debate with the leavers and thinking it was all run (or maybe not understanding enough himself) and Corbyn was secret Leave agent.

It's a bit like getting promoted from the Championship to the Premier League. There can be big risks involved if you buy players able to keep you up on contracts you have to pay. I'm happy to have a period of uncertainty for the chance to progress. It's what makes life worth living.

I don't think the debates made any difference. Ruth Davidson tore the Leave campaign a new hole during their TV debate but the public had already made up their minds.

As I said previously, a dotty woman who was selected to asked a question during that debate was trotting out a Leave lie after the debate despite the fact that Davidson had proven it was a lie during the debate!
