It seems like the petition is a hoax http://heatst.com/politics/exclusiv...n-prank-bbc-report-it-as-real/?mod=sm_tw_post
It was only months ago you were telling us all how fantastic he was.. My respect for Corbyn has gone up not down, he was only ever lukewarm about the EU anyway and because he is a principled man found it difficult to be overly enthusiastic about the EU. As it turned out he was in tune with the majority of the country, he realised there were major concerns with several aspects of the EU with everyday Labour voters. I would have thought that makes him a good leader? Now he's been scapegoated by the cry babies. Labour will now end up pushing to a position which is even more alien to its traditional supporters.
People are already loathing the effects of Brexit and so if they are the ones negotiating everyone will be hating on them for the deal we get. Johnson, Gove etc will and should be hated for lying through their teeth. Since the referendum isn't legally binding they could keep us in and still be hated but by arguably less people
Any attempt to campaign in working class areas would've resulted in a remain win. Swathes of working class labour heartland voted out. A labour party that had stood up to scapegoating Tory cuts on immigration would have won. You only like Corbyn because, unless Gove becomes the next prime minister, Corbyn guarantees 9 more years of Tory rule.
It wouldn't mate they're not as easily brainwashed as you. they made their own mind up. What you should do is 2 things. Stop and think about why the majority voted out and especially in the labour heartlands. Go and get a real job and spend some time in the real world.
I hate to say it but groups like Britain First used isis and refugees and immigration. Made up some bullshit and spread it. People bought it. And secondly I'd rather study atm to get a better job in the future
Corbyn is very unlikely to step down with the mandate that left wingers like MTG gave him a year ago. They, unwittingly, won it for the Leave campaign by ignoring how working class folk feel about uncontrolled immigration.
But you'll say it anyway despite it being complete bollocks.. still you've had a difficult couple of days, all that crying on your keyboard and histrionics all over social media and all those petitions to sign.. What was it you said on another thread "I don't really like democracy but I don't know a better way to do it" I paraphrase! It would seem all the universities are brainwashing our kids.. I would love if you had a little test of living without democracy in another country, maybe China perhaps.. throw your histrionics there and you would soon disappear. But then again you might fit right in?
My theory for what it's worth is that Cameron won't invoke article 50. He will call a general election - before handing over to Eurosceptic Boris or Gove. Benn will take over Labour and will pledge never to invoke it. Referendum 2 by stealth
Has anyone told Ole Fish face that to apply for EU then you need to meet the criteria like Turkey and such. So with the price of Oil down what has Scotland got to offer anyway? Sorry Redprint I could not resist
I agree, but as current members, don't you think that old Merkel will make a "special exception" just to put the boot in to us...?!
in a way I think you are right .. IT SHOULD BE :- UK = DEMOCRACY = REFERENDUM = RESULT = FREEDOM = WE COLLECTIVELY GET ON AND SORT IT It has become " S*** we have lost sod democracy let us now try to screw up, ( some conservative members and all the remain group)threaten, ( Nicola )backstab those we do not want, ( labour shadow cabinet ) delay to a point where there is another election " which is most of those not in previous groupings but are sour grapes. The Germans and the French governments are not stupid, and they are dragging in the Italians note not Junckers! as they are aware of what a volatile beast they created in the EU and need to make it amicable ....
IMO it won't come to that, there seems to be a reluctance to invoke article 50. I think there will be a re run of the vote regardless of if people are happy about it or not.
I VOTED LEAVE I knew there would be a period of uncertainty either way now for what I believe in I have to bite the bullet, extract from my share portfolio Change since purchase .. .. Market value Holdings 13 purchase cost £***,615.81 change today -25.35% ROYAL ** ***** .. .. .. £ 9,057.24 . . .175.90 .. .. -14.32 .. .. £4,397.50 this was originally intended pre 2008 as my pension supplement .. That's because as I pointed out, there is no plan, none whatsoever as even the Brexit camp didn't expect to win...
