Liverpool will say £30m. We will say £35. Both will be true to an extent. The only question is how likely our add ons are to come true.

If it is £30M + Ibe then I would accept that but £30m? Ridiculous and someone in the club need their asses kicked. Not because he is worth this but they have forgotten the Saints player tariff that Scousehampton love to pay

Yeah finishing 2 places above a team, or qualifying for the Europa League (as if this is a big deal to players like Mane) doesn't suddenly make us a much better option for a player when it comes to choosing between us and Liverpool.

Always thought we'd lose VW and Mane this summer, so not to dissapointed. Just don't get players going on about Europe as Mane did towards end of the season, and then leave for no European football. (money is obviously more important).

Klopp will have a lot of attacking players to keep happy this year? Coutinho / Faminho / Lallana / Mane / Sturridge, to name a few.

Oh well if mane has a spell like he did at saints last year, I don't think the spouse fans will be as patient as us? And then there's his 4-5 weeks on African Cup duty.

How do you know that this is the first offer? They could have been in negotiations for quite some time. Believe it or not but other clubs have Les Reed's contact details (I guess Livepool have his number on speed dial) and can chat to him without it being in the press. I don't believe this whole "well if we leak it to one of our journos it will put clubs off" stuff that people say. If you want to put a club off, then tell them straight then they contact you "we want this much" or "**** off". The stuff they leak to the papers is just to appease fans, most of it is probably bullshit and is just trying to keep fans happy.

 

Not blame attached to Mane on this one. Why are we getting bullied by the same old clubs again. At least publicly knock back the first offer, what have we got to lose by doing that. Selling Victor so readily put the 'open for business' sign up, so this was to be expected. But we look weak, I would not be surprised if an offer drops for Virgil.

Yeah I can see Everton coming in for him if they sell Stones. I guess it all depends if he has a release clause in his new contract, if he doesn't then we will have him for at least one more season.
