I agree. If we can keep it really tight we have a great chance. Give them time and space and we're asking for trouble.
Hungary had the lions share of the second half, but failed to burry their chances, and have been found out with some shocking defending at the end....... 4-0?
We have a good record against Belgium of late, and if we exploit Belgium's weak defence as Hungary did then Bale and Ramsey should have a field day........
Will be a huge game against the Belgians. They are a top side, but they will have a clear memory that (a) we kept two clean sheets against them; (b) we took 4 points off them; and (c) we were unbeaten against them in qualifying. The Hungarians, while a good unit, were poor defensively when it mattered (although maybe we will be if we go 1-0 down and open up offensively a bit more) and they didn't have those couple of players who strike fear into the opposition (i.e. our Bale and Ramsey). We have the team and the players to scrape another 1-0 against these guys. Our team knows that Hazard, while a world-beater today, slumps and whines like a baby when the opposition get into him. Our Swansea players, our midfield and Bale have experience and know-how in how to deal with their other top players like De Bruyne, Lukaku, etc. There will have been many a team-talk at club level with exact game plans to stop these players. I expect the players with the knowledge to be passing it on to the lesser experienced. Get through this game and I'd seriously fancy us against Poland or Portugal - the winner of our game is the likely finalist in my opinion. We can do this.
I was waiting for the qualifiers to be brought out with regard to Belgium. yes we kept 2 clean sheets and yes we took 4 points but in both games they ****ing battered us. Now maybe we can get as lucky as that again and scrape something. The tore Hungary a new one on times yesterday and they have a lot of class in their side. If we play as we did against England or Ireland we will lose by 4. Lets be realistic they are the highest rank team and are just starting to show a bit of that, this is the hardest game so far and if we can scrape something then we have a great chance of getting to the final. I just cant see us having enough. but who knows with a lot of luck.
