Living in Germany I have a lot of banter with the locals about footy but sometimes it just annoys me how fecking good they can play football. I'd truly love Roy Hodgson and his team to sit down and analyse what the Germans did differently to England against Slovakia. They have had roughly the same amount of possession as England did but have absolutely killed them. For me it is the movement off the ball, particularly the midfielders, and a lot of that is down to fitness. Many of the German players have had long seasons but look fresh as daisies and their movement just pulls the Slovakians all over the place.

You're not the only one. However, it's mostly good-natured from the locals down here, but what gets me most is that they feel genuinely sorry for English football. Bloody hell, that's hard to take. God, hope we don't get put in the freezer tomorrow......
