I sometimes like to read old issues of Dandy and Beano because they remind me of my childhood and who doesn't like to be reminded of simpler times when we didn't have a care in the world.

Stereo, I personally don't go in for most of the comic-book, superhero stuff. But the recent Batman films are an exception. Both were (1) high-grossing, (2) popular with the audiences and (3) critically-acclaimed. It's not often you tick all 3 boxes and still get a **** film.

Should have known you'd like them <doh>

The same could be said about the Harry Potter films. I bet you and Medro even read the books.

You don't read comics and you don't go and watch the movies yet you're guessing their aimed at kids.

I used to read comics when I was a child. Now that I'm an adult I read books for grown ups.

You think they may have changed over the years since you were a child?

I bet those who watch 'grown up' films such as say pulp fiction, kill bill or any tarrantin film. Or even films by Kevin Smith (dogma, chasing amy etc) dont realise that not only are the directors MASSIVE comic book fans but the films are based on/derived from comic books

You would understand that times have changed from the Batman of yesteryear.

I'm sure you know that though.

Better quality drawing does not make for adult material. It's still for kids <ok>

No, I've not watched the Harry Potter films. But the Batman films are very good. You should give them a try, 94% of critics can't be all wrong <ok>

Certainly better than some grainy, black and white film with wooden acting from 60 years ago <laugh>

Actually some of those black and white films are true classics. Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, anything with Charlie Chaplin......the list goes on.
