It's on the BBC News website. HSBC declined to comment.

You may be thinking of Morgan Stanley.

    Are they still here ??
I thought they had all been moved to HK as per their bigwigs threat due to the 'excessive' UK
financial authority regime since the CDO debacle.

If Labour find a centre left, electable leader then they have a very good chance of winning the next election which was unthinkable 12 months ago.

I preferred it when their acronym was SFA, it was more apt.

As for the CDO fiasco, whilst they can't be blamed entirely, somebody should remind them of the homily about the horse and the stable door!...

I have understood what you're getting at. While I may be quoting people on TV and radio, the ones who will have none of it (that I was referring to) are the ones posting on here. We're all giving a commentary on what's happening out there in the real world. Some of the Brexit lot on here refuse to accept anyone could be voting for xenophobic or ill-advised/ignorant reasons. All that does is polarise the other side who turn to similar opposing extremes. Ofcourse I see the irony in doing that, but the thread has largely turned to pulp anyway, nevertheless there are still many of us at least trying to qualify that with some serious views (on both sides btw).

I disagree about the stage managed bit completely. Even if you ignore the News interviews of Joe Public on the street, what about serious political debates involving the public such as Question Time or the numerous public debates involving key figures on both sides on all the major channels. Now, don't get me wrong, there were people making coherent points and genuine concerns about the EU, but there were still a significant minority of jingoistic numbskulls who you could tell were voting out of some misguided emotional rhetoric. And the trouble is, everytime one of them spoke, the rest of them applauded and cheered. That wasn't stage managed, it was genuine public opinion. And these programmes were set up and down the country. BTW I blame the Remain and Brexit campaigners equally for allowing that ignorance to continue.

Now this is something that I can agree with you on.
After the last election, I convinced myself that the Labour Party were actually being really smart. I thought after the mauling they got in the GE and the general apathy from the British voters, the Labour Party were testing the water with a move away from "more Tory than Tory" type party that they had become. I assumed that they had put Corbyn in to test the waters and if the British public showed any appetite, they would **** him off sharpish.
I will admit to being completely wrong about this and geninually believe that a stronger Labour Party would have swayed the British public to a remain vote.

Yep me too. I thought Corbyn had substance and that would cut through spin and appeal to the public. I was actually pleased with his appointment but he's been a massive disappointment. He lacks conviction in just about everything and this campaign in particular has shown he's not a leader.

Yes, I think you're right. I now seem to remember the number of employees being higher than that too.

This has been pointed out elsewhere. But as it's very valid, I'll repeat it.

Really, if you genuinely want learn, or educate yourself about something you know nothing about. How hard is it in this day and age? Even the Cheryl's of the world have the net - Ok, maybe I'm assuming that she stayed at school long enough to learn to read - but seriously, it's easy enough if you really want to know. Even she must have heard of Google!

The average 16yr old, who's not even allowed to vote, is better informed than most of the ****wits who are allowed to!

I usually blame the Scousers, but in this case they voted remain. Dodgy ****ers must have looked up the amount of EU funding they can continue pilfering!
