Just watched several replays of the own goal and I'm not sure if Robson Kanu would have reached Bale's cross but McAuley was in a **** situation and had to play the ball. Too bad he couldn't have just flicked it wide.
I'll take that as accepting I'm right then. Fair play to Wales to get where they are, but they'd be nowhere without Bale. Which, if anything, is a compliment to how good a player he is, because he's pretty much dragged Wales to the tournament and then to the quarter finals.
Fact is they are in the quarters, not bad for such a **** team that cant score and only has one player. I don't think they are that bad but I can literally sense your fury here mate, go have a tinny or something
Well that is the first summer Home International over. They always were tight affairs. When do England play Scotland?
Argentina won the World Cup in 1986 with a team that many considered an alright side with one world class player. Look at Denmark in 92 and Greece in 04. It's not impossible for a side that is technically weaker than others to do well.
What the **** is that on Perisic's head? Despite that monstrosity, come on Croatia. Knock out that arrogant sack of **** and make him cry.
at the moment, given form and draw i'd certainly say Wales have a better chance of progressing further than England. They have one top superstar in Bale, 2-3 really really good players but most importantly they have 23 players in the squad who are prepared to work and play for the team and not as a bunch of individuals.
Felt sorry for NI, some terrible timewasting at the end too. This made me laugh though: Gin O'clock Well that's the second time Wales have taken Northern Ireland out of Europe in the last 48 hours. #WALNIR Im watching the final game today mainly hoping I get to see Ronaldo crying with despair at the end.
They have a decent defence, and have one of the best strikers in the world currently. Plus Ramsey. Plus...actually you know what, they're a ****ing good team, playing well.
