People say £40k a week could be spent better.........but on who? Remember he wont cost **** all for coming on loan so who else is available for free that could have an impact like Bellamy and would actually consider coming to the SPL??

Rab E Keane cost £65,000 a week and won Celtic nothing.

If Bellamy were to join on £40,000 a week that's approx £1.5m for his loan. But it was reported that City would want the majority of his wages paid for. So say ge gets £65k a week that'll end up costing £2.4m.

A lot of money to have a player of 9 months.

    cardiff fan here.

he wont go to celtic, he just won't, not because of money or anything like that, just because it means he's further away from his family, and the quality of the team / league. its either man city reserves or on loan at cardiff again.

God Mendes, the accountant, Pity he hadn't turned his back on Rangers he could have saved them all the shi.. with HMRS.
Maybe over £50m saved only Mendes branched to have a nosy at Celtic.
I am surprised if he is ever let back in ipox after this.
Sorry Mendes gets lost once he travels 50 miles on the Queen's Highway.
His bigotry gets in the way.

The same team/league he happily played in a few years ago when he was at the peak of his career? The same team he regularly travels to watch?

    All players cost a wage

And regardless of what you hear Celtic wont pay anywhere near the figures you have quoted.

When Roy Keane was at Celtic he wasnt the highest paid player at the club (in terms of what Celtic actually paid)

And Brum a keeper would be better in the first instance. We have strikers who can score us enough goals to win us the SPL. We dont have a keeper that can though - like McGrogor did for them last year

yes, when you had players like keane, sutton, hartson, nakamura etc. the current team of celtic is a shadow of that one.

    good one <ok>

i dont want to spoil your party but back to the thread, bellamy wont be joining celtic.

yes we have repeatedly failed to win promotion, but at least since bellamy was last at your team we can say we have made progress each year. celtic on the other hand, have become worse and worse, culminating in a pathetic season last year where you didnt even make the europa league <ok>

Well obviously Calatron has posted and reposted so he must be right. Although Calatron has a history of always been wrong, sooner or later he has to get it right.
One thing we do know is that Bellamy won't sign for smelly Rangers, he even refused to sign an autograph on a Rangers top.

    Do we need him?

Our only weakness when it comes to scoring goals is deep lying defences

We don't have a player of quality who is going to bully a defence let alone score from a corner

No bellamys or keanes on 80k a week

Think I'd rather have Daly from dundee utd....isn't he a lump of a boy?

Connor Sammon was an option we should have taken
