Big round hairy things.......... there was 2 ways the market would go up by 10% -15% or down by similar, however the mechanism in place to avert a plummetting stone worked and the market sensibly opened at a low, which due to people panicking sunk a bit more.. this bigger than normal drop was the people who got their fingers burned by boosting the market over the past week and building stock because the "polls" said "IN" one bank TODAY TRADED 1.7 BILLION SHARES... ANOTHER ... 350 MILLION ...
MY portfolio was showing a £28k loss this am tonight it was £12k
my euro's were just showing a profit from when I bought them a year ago .... at 1.22

would not expect him to do anything different he was the lord mayor of London which in reality is densely populated small area did you see the number of votes places like Harringey etc CAST .double those of some of the areas around here !

Boris could Nigel cant Cameron has a vindictive streak ( BAD LOSER ! ) he should have stayed on a year... the reason he is not going for 3 months is BECAUSE nothing happens in CABBAGE LAND FOR 3- 4 MONTH'S NOW so waste that time having pushed the button ...... on article 50, that's why there will be a wait... likely push the button in November

My point is that I you have done nothing wrong by moving to Canada. Neither have immigrants coming to Britain.

The rules of engagement were totally different for me than these poor people, however if you choose to move to another country you should at least be able to understand what should be required to gain entry rather than the horrible methods of transportation commonly used. Luckily I have never had to travel down the same desperate roads but nevertheless something needs to be done regarding the vast numbers arriving on your doorstep.

I never was fooled by the shaggy dog to be honest.
I think with Boris in number 10 and Trump in The White House, it should take between 1 & 2 years for us all to get blown to Kingdom come.
Boris Johnson - the worst thing ever to happen to these isles

    A Prime Minister resigned.
    The £ plummeted.
The FTSE 100 lost significant ground.
But then the £ rallied past February levels, and the FTSE closed on a weekly high: 2.4% up on last Friday, its best performance in 4 months. President Obama decided we wouldn't be at the 'back of the queue' after all and that our 'special relationship' was still strong. The French President confirmed the Le Touquet agreement would stay in place. The President of the European Commission stated Brexit negations would be 'orderly' and stressed the UK would continue to be a 'close partner' of the EU. A big bank denied reports it would shift 2,000 staff overseas. The CBI, vehemently anti-Brexit during the referendum campaign, stated British business was resilient and would adapt. Several countries outside the EU stated they wished to begin bi-lateral trade talks with the UK immediately. If this was the predicted apocalypse, well, it was a very British one. It was all over by teatime.
Not a bad first day of freedom.

Cameron deserves to go for going against his beliefs in order to win votes by offering a referendum where he was decided on one outcome only.

Feeling bitter ngl, not at the people who voted leave but at the people who openly mislead everyone.

One positive about this is that the English are running out of scapegoats - first it was the unions and the lefties, later the EU. the immigrants, refugees, Scots - who is left to blame ?

All the postering leading up to the "x" was totally ignored by the 17 million who made it impossible .. some have thought s*** they maybe right but when it came to the "x", "wolf wolf has been cried so many times you wont get me this time" and voted leave.
the stockmarket is in a volatile state . the ftse may show "stability" but this is 100 blue chip companies and dealings with them are usually less volatile a lot of the shares being held by investment trusts and pension funds .. vodaphone actually gained on the day!

Great Britain is in a far better place than 24 hours ago.

A bright and prosperous future awaits the country.

We should accept democracy and get this country building, manufacturing, selling all around the world.

There are many many countries that love to by British in particular China.

What we have done is the equivalent to kicking your job in because it's a bit of a pain and you don't like the boss - but not having first secured an alternative position - in fact, not even having a CV ready - whilst all the time having a mortgage and bills to pay and a family to support and the wife threatening to leave.
On a domestic scale that would be classed as 'stupid'.
On a national scale some see it as worth celebrating.
After a few days of celebration, enjoying not having the boss breathing down your neck, you may find that the job actually paid the bills.... And gave you access to purchasing power....

Actually it is the Scots fault.
If they had voted labour instead of Nazi then the Cameron couldn't have held the referendum in opposition.
Mind you, we would have had Milliband as PM.
    God I'm depressed!!!!

I can partly see where you are coming from, but it is a poor comparison... yes your first part would be stupid
but leaving Europe is completely different .. we do have an income, we have 1 less bill to pay, and our CV is what we have in relation to existing abilities to manufacture and supply = trade
don't exactly know where the wife fits in but need somebody to make the tea, cook and do the washing up ..lol

I hope you are right JGF.
(The 'wife' was referring to Scotland - or Northern Ireland - or Gibraltar - or a combination of the three)

    Utterly vile woman.

On a lighter note, I suppose one benefit of Brexit will be that I won't be served 'continental' breakfasts in hotels any more!
Full English from now on :)

just been watching the news.. and it suddenly dawned on me as interviews were conducted over the news feeds from various euro contributors floating past the bottom of the screen..

DEMOCRACY = AN AGREEMENT THAT WHAT IS DONE IS DONE WITH THE OPINION OF THE MAJORITY and yet we have a number of cowards, attention seekers and pills with a bitter taste SURFACING....

JUNCKERS .... ANTI UK individual since his inception spouting out hostilities that has been the bane of not just ours but other other countries in my book a bully we are well rid of, COULD WELL GO DOWN AS THE DESTROYER OF CIVIL DEMOCRACY... amazing how Luxembourg gets many times more than it pays in ...
Cameron ..... has become a weak hypocritical poor loser, regarded as some a pillar of democracy who when he finds himself on the losing side capitulates " I have and will always have my country at heart" ..really! coward, should lead us toward the promised land not pass the buck
Lord Hill ... HAS AN IMPORTANT JOB TO DO but seemingly again to weak to honour democracy, sour at losing so takes his pension and the easy way out
Merkel ... back footed and seemingly at the moment become appreciative of the problems that the EUROPEAN MARKET has generated and what the repercussions may be
Hollande ... very aware, and treading lightly on the situation regarding our leaving, not being nasty, aware of our bon accord, as he knows in France they have poblems that might even exceed what has gone on before .. and go down the same road they will also have to find an extra 5-6 billion euro's to plug the gap ..
Nicola .... a very dangerous woman who cant wait to have another referendum that could on the back of the present waves of "euphoria" having no opposition in the Scottish assembly and the disappointment of "leave" lead Scotland into the abyss .. for self gratification

    maybe to be continued

Cameron - he's not stupid, we have voted to send the country down the ****ter, why would anyone in their right mind want to be in charge of that. We were warned of the consequences repeatedly but not enough people listened so frankly, why would you want to be at the helm of the Titanic...?

Lord Hill - his job effectively ceased when we voted out. He is obsolete so, why would he stay

Nicola - Scotland voted to remain in the UK on the express promise that they would remain in the EU, now they are out. 100% justification for a new vote on their part
