It's Calais that are suggesting it, the agreement was written with all France in mind, but even though that's not specifically an EU agreement, it does point to one of the many EU failings.

Does not matter why you voted out. You made xenophobia an issue. The country will always and has always had economics to deal with. I've always had taxes to pay, I've always had to apply for several jobs before landing one. Nothing will change I'm still going to eat. However this country has confirmed its xenophobic undertone to me and many others. Everything is personal or you wouldn't be here replying to everyone. Nothing to do with higher ground and not stifling a debate. You need to handle all the angles of your vote, not just what interests you...that makes it like your focuses on your own personal issues...a tad selfish, you well grounded little Englander.

Erm, I didn't make xenophobia an issue, I was the one saying it wasn't. You're actually criticising your buddies on here.

 

Genuine conversation I had with a bloke at work yesterday (he's from Essex - in case you couldn't tell)

Him: None of this bothers me, I'm off to Magaluf next week
Me: Might cost you a bit more now the pound has tanked
Him: Nah, I'll take Euros won't I?
Me: You'll have to buy them first though.
Him: Nah, you just get em out the cash machine.

And that right there is the level of understanding my fellow citizens have of international finance.

Its not a dead cert he will be PM (I prefer Mogg) and I dont think the Torys will be in power for the next 40 years or so, but thats the fault of Labour for being weak.
