Ash getting injured against NI shows that the bumps he has shrugged off over the years are now beginning to take their toll. Perhaps van de Hoom is a rough diamond we can polish for the future something that is needed.

 

Amat cost less I believe and is a good defender. At least Guido has acknowledged that this area has been an issue and has gone out to buy a CB.

 

I thought Taylor played better for Wales than us because, I think, having three at the back meant Ben was covering him when Taylor moved forward. This is why I hope we see this system and more of Amat this season. I see v d Hoom as cover for Ash and Fernandez.

 

Imagine Ash, Fed and Amat at the back with Cork and Joe/Leon sitting in front of them allowing our attacking players to run riot.

There is a lot of Bartley going to Leeds on loan, why would we loan him, we know he is not good enough, why wouldn't we sell him instead of letting his contract be shorter and making him worth less, surely tell Leeds you want him you buy him.
