It was all arranged beforehand, they had to work out how to shoehorn in the four extra places.

I don't like the ranking systems and seeding, same with Europe.

Hoy every ****er in a big bag and what will be will be, that's how it should be.

It's not 'as they have earned it' it's uefa and FIFA maximising revenue. Simple as that.

More games = more money. Pretty obvious what FIFA's plan was.

Too many teams playing it safe or just aiming for 3rd place hasn't made it particularly exciting for me.

Usually I would rush home from work and watch every minute of every game. This time I've struggled to even get excited about the England matches.

Unless they heat the balls up of course - they will find a way to corrupt even the simplest of things

Through sheer bad forethought on my part I have created a complete horlicks of watching the Euros over the coming fortnight. Heading off to Bali, which was booked in January, without remembering that the Euros were, now I am praying that the hotel will have a sports channel but even if they do the timings have now become horrendous. Seven hours time difference means that the games will be at midnight or three in the morning, and with four UK teams still in there I don't want to miss any of their fixtures plus some of the other tasty ones. Arrive back just in time for the final so will still see England win it<somersault>.

The original thinking was that with an early holiday I would not miss the start of next season. Derh!:embarrassed::emoticon-0106-cryin

Bit late to be posting this, but I went to the Romania v Albania game, with bairn, and had a great time. We had SAFC tops on, and Albanian lad after Albanian lad came up to us to shake our hands and talk about Cana! It might not have been the best game technically, but there was a cracking atmosphere.

Wales will never have a better chance in their lifetime to progress deep into a tournament.

That was the close one. Normally I'd be confident of Poland, but they haven't fired this tournament. Switzerland are solid, but dull.

I'll take Lewandowski to turn it on in that match and get Poland through.
