I didn't say I wouldn't be bothered if it didn't change. It's the "what" that you keep applying that I'd dispute.

The trouble is we had the same bare-faced dishonesty during the campaign and we seem to be having it from the same usual suspects now <ok>

Spooky. As I pressed send for that message, I had one of the foreign news channels on, and there was a bloke from Hull commenting on the current situation, and he almost read out my post.

Not one mention of migrants though. Obviously he has no idea.

Having a different view to you isn't dishonest. To think that it is is simply pompous.

    But yours isn't a different view, it's a denial. There's a difference. Denial can be dishonest <ok>

Nope. My answer is accurate, because it's pretty much been achieved. People now feel they can choose, and politicians are waking up.

    Exactly

Not only currency investments but corporate capital expenditure. Multi nationals will be swerving investing a bean into the Uk due to the uncertainty that will last ****ing years. They'll plump for the safe bet and stick their investments into the core EU. Some of these ****ers pontificating about the economics of this debacle make me want to puke. Spoon fed by the media and ****ing clueless as to the reality of what's actually occurred here.

Who was that bell end earlier who posted 'I might lose me job like' but I don't care. ****ing numpty.

Pretty much? So not completely then <laugh>

I'll remind you of what I said... You're welcome to say what you believe what those expectations are.

You seem to be digging yourself deeper old chap?

You're denying that the number of migrants wasn't an issue for Out voters who were voting on the issue of immigration. That is either extremely stupid or disingenuous as I stated right from the start. Anyone can see that's a ridiculous stance and you don't seem to have an answer to that except "I know people you don't" <laugh>

I'm not digging at all. You're desperately trying to squish a lifetime into a few seconds of TV interview and a simplified version of events, and getting frustrated when you find it doesn't fit with your own narrow preconceptions.

One of the prime reasons Scotland voted to stay as part of the U.K. was the fear around the time it would take to get into the EU post their exit

Now they're having EU withdrawal forced on them the political landscape had fundamentally changed and whilst there isn't a constitutional contract that'll force a second vote there's now huge political and social pressure for them to be given their voice before the UK exits - only a complete balloon would argue the opposite

Disingenuous and stupid would be making such a sweeping generalisation about why all out voters made their choices, even if you do try to limit it to a single view of a single item.

Ignoring or dismissing the personal opinion of someone sharing their own experience is just pompous and narrow minded. It does help as an example of a part of the failure of attitude that many people were voting on.

You're the only one sounding a little frustrated fella. It's a simple enough point. People asked two simple questions up and down the country. They reflected a range of demographics, not just Hull. The questions were "Which way will you be voting?" and "Why?" There wasn't a gun pointed at their head, they gave their honest opinion. You now seem to claim you speak on behalf of them lol and that we should believe you rather than what the people are actually saying. Hence why I advised you to stop digging.

But I'm not making any assumption on ALL out voters. You seem to have trouble reading, old chap. Have a read again of the part I underlined. I said "for those voting out on the issue of immigration" <ok> . All you're doing is confirming my point of why you're either being very stupid or disingenuous.

And upon exiting now there will be no change in how long it would take them to get approval to join the EU. They didn't want to take the euro and I don't see why that would have changed and EU countries with separatist elements won't want to make it easy for Scotland to join the EU. It is far from straightforward that they could leave us and join the EU and they would be economically worse off. Another huge reason they didn't vote to leave was being unconvinced by the economic plan in place which would now be completely unworkable as oil prices are far more volatile and less than half the price they were in 2014.

Then there is the fact that more scots felt the need to exercise there right to vote when it came to staying in the uk than staying in the EU.

On top of the fact that it is highly likely a referendum would fail once again, is the actual process for achieving a referendum. I've already gone over loads of this stuff multiple times in this thread.
