There have been some really positive ones from people at the coal face in various countries. The whining tends to come from people that have an inflated opinion of their influence.

Yes, and his exact words are 'this is not an amicable divorce'. Does that sound like they're going to make things easy for us, to you?..

They won't! They don't want others thinking there are no consequences to just walking away.

If you're going to say his exact words then at least finish the sentence! "This is not an amicable divorce, but it was not exactly a tight love affair anyway" and it states he wants to take a "reasonable approach".

A deal will need to be perceived to not be bending over to accommodate us leaving, we will have to make compromises, but they will do a deal with us that is mutually beneficial as its in the interests of both sides.

The people of England seem to be adopting Farage, Johnson, etc, as their heroes. Their new political role models. And that's a good thing?

I'm just trying to explain to you that the consequences to,the U.K. Economy are far from over. This will all unravel over the next few weeks and months. None of it will be good for the UK economy, or the people.

It's true that many feel disenfranchised. But leaving Europe won't solve that. Do these people really trust and expect Farage and co to keep their word?

Too many people voted for all the wrong reasons. It's like immigration was the only issue on the table.

They might have given Cameron a kick up the arse, but at what cost?

It's rock and hard place for the EU. If they go too easy on the UK, they risk other separatist movements pushing for exit referendums.

If they go too hard, they risk sending global markets into a tailspin.

Who's putting them as their hero's? They were just the tools that created the opportunity for people to make a point.

Believe me, I get the financial bit, even though I find your version a tad inaccurate and over simplistic. I can see where it has the potential to present me with a few problems, but I've already looked at the opportunities it creates for me to off set that. We're used to having to work round the problems these people create.

Immigration wasn't the issue, it was more immigration control, and even that was not all that significant. I don't think too many thought enough about cameron one way or the other to want to kick his arse. It was the ignorance and pomposity of the establishment that he's a part of along with politicians, bankers, stockbrokers and other so called experts that people were reacting to.

Leaving europe was not so much the aim, as an opportunity, and I doubt very many people other than a few journo's and unaffected types gave a **** what claims were made. They were only made by people from the same system that had misunderstood them for years anyway.

Plenty of people voted for what for them was the right reason, and each will present itself in different ways, so it's easy for an interviewer to couch a question that gives a soundbite answer that suits, rather than looking deeper at the actual problem.

The fact you can't see that is neither here nor there in the great scheme of things. It just indicates a limitation in your life experience.

As I said, I was pleased to see that quite a few politicians seemed to be starting to grasp the point. The media, finance bods and "experts" have a bit of catching up to do.

There are very few limitations in my life experience, I can more than assure you of that.

However, I repeat, too many people voted for the wrong reasons. That's more than apparent just from listening to the news.

In my view, and that of many others, leaving Europe is no more than a leap in the dark. We have absolutely no idea of what, or where we are going next. It's all down to 'trust us'.

There is no ' actual' problem, in my view. Many different reasons have been given - the overriding one, however, is immigration. I find it very difficult to believe that all these people were duped into giving that answer by a TV interviewer.

As I've said from the start, my only main concern was the economy. I felt it would undoubtedly suffer if we left at this time. I still feel that way. We will see where things go from Monday onwards. But, there is a lengthy period of uncertainty and volatility ahead. None if it good news for the average UK citizen.

That doesn't really hold up. Yes they were giving the establishment a kick up the arse, but every media outlet interviewing anyone on TV or Radio had 9 people out 10 stating immigration as their concern. And while you may choose to use the term "control" immigration, everyone voting out yesterday knew that to mean reduced immigration. To spin it as anything is being disingenuous tbph.

You seem to know more about the motives of me and the people I know than we do. There's even posts on this thread saying it's NOT just about reduced immigration.

It's about others not listening and thinking they know what we want better than we do, without really taking the time to find out.

I think the big question now is the integrity of the promises made by the Out campaigners and the reaction by those who voted for them IF they don't deliver on those.

That first sentence makes little sense. All I can tell you is what they were saying on TV and radio. Like I said, to deny that is just being disingenuous. There were countless examples of "too many people from the EU coming in", the change in demographics in people's towns and cities. The fact that numbers were actually being used - 185,000 to justify leaving the EU. What else were the voters expected to say? I don't blame them to thinking this, but to try and now deny you weren't duped is a bit ridiculous.

All you can tell me is what you've heard on tv and radio, which you seem to think is more valid than someone that lives amongst it. That is the attitude that the politicians at least seemed to be seeing the failings of.

Are you in London by any chance?

So if the outcome of leaving the EU isn't as expected by the people who voted for it, they will consider that irrelevant? I think you'll be on your own on that one.
