It could mean that any signings for EU based players after exit will be subject to the same restrictions that we see now for non-EU players.
So for example, if that had been the case last year we would have had problems with M'Villa and Kirchoff and Lens as they would not qualify under those rules. Aanholt maybe as well, but he was already UK based.

It possibly means you won't see as many foreigners signing on deadline day, with work permits needing to be cleared. Having said that, it's unlikely really to have much of an affect on football, given it bring so much to our economy, it'd be stupid to apply any resistance to it as it is.

There's nothing to say that we won't give the non-eu footballers easier access now we control our own borders.

    Much the same I'd imagine.

Didn't the Bosman ruling get passed because the situation prior to that contravened EU law? Something to do with freedom to work or something? If that's true and I haven't imagined it, British clubs might be able to charge a transfer fee even if a players contract has expired but they hold his registration. That's just me speculating, mind.

Bosman ruling was EU Court of Justice, so technically won't be enforceable in the UK after exit. But do you think any EU players would sign up if they were tied to the "old rules"? So I can imagine that they would get modified contracts.
Plus any UK players would also lose protection! But I can imagine that either the FA will make a ruling, or someone will bring a case in the UK court so most likely no overall change.

There is an article on BBC football website covering this very subject, anyone able to lift it and copy it on here as I don't know how to do it.
    Worth a read.

We're still subject to the HcoJ until Parliament puts legislation forward.

yes, so at least 2 years before this bites. In the "exit" period, that is from the UK invoking the process to actually leaving, all laws/rules still apply
I expect that UEFA/FA etc. will try to get this sorted out before then

As far as I can see all the current mega-owners are in any case non-EU (Russian, Asian, Arabic and of course Americans) so not sure we'll see much difference there.
