At least if you start to miss the referendum nonsense you know one from Scotland will be along to quench your thirst
Can anyone honestly say they are not entitled to do so?. We participated in the dismemberment of Yugoslavia. Let's remember the right of self-determination when we get all wound up about how important it is that we stick together.

Cameron gone, pound through floor...talk of replacing Corbyn.

Serious scary times.........please let's talk about football

Dave taking the only course open to him I suspect. Now we have a summer of naval gazing and in fighting amongst the Tories to look foward to. It will not be a pretty sight and it's the last thing we need at the moment.

So we get a new PM and different mandate for our government, none of which we can vote on.

I have say, whatever you may think of him, Cameron's statement this morning was top-drawer, an object lesson in how to accept the decision and resign gracefully...

Mark Carney very good this morning. £ bouncing back a bit, shares taking a hammering, especially the banks.

Rather enjoyed Boris getting barracked by rent a mob as he left his house this morning. Probably on the way to the Telegraph to pick up his £250k pay check for writing one column a week, before reminding us how he represents the 'ordinary people'. No, I will not be letting up on him, or Farage and his stinking idea of what my country is about.

Post hoc rationalisation going on in my rather groggy head. I think we will have 5 years of uncertainty and stress, but, if the EU hasn't pulled itself together in that time (and I have no reason to believe it will), we might end up feeling rather smug about leaving. Personally I feel it's a shame that we were never presented with the argument that our strength and influence is enough to help drive positive change for the benefit of all, the only thing which has held us back is our ambiguous attitude, but there you go.

The great British (if you redefine what it means to be British) have spoken. Those bloody foreigners have taken our jobs. This is a protest vote against the country being run by a 'one public school' elite and endless austerity or 'prudent' economic management. 'Tories out' cry the Labour heartlands but they don't want the Labour party any more. Well Brexit supporters got their way. We can now look forward to a further lurch to the right - the dismantling of the Welfare state and abolition of the National Minimum Wage. And another old Etonian to steer us through this. At least our people, who were too proud to work as public lavatory cleaners and dishwashers before or refused to do so for the wages on offer will now have jobs. Either that or they can starve. We'll pull together.

Oh and let's not forget. We can build a new NHS hospital each week on the money we save and put up a 20 foot wall with electrified fences and barbed wire on top to prevent those bloody foreigners coming in. Where's that effing Donald Trump when you need him?

At least we got our sovereignty back. The entire UK can be ruled from the common room at Eton on the basis of 35% of the vote from those who actually bother to do so. It's democracy innit?
What a sour grapes attitude. I can only agree that it IS democracy. Like it, or lump it. Greatest vote won. Stop whining FFS!!

This is not sour grapes...but Farage is a piece of **** I would wipe from my shoe.

He has admited he was wrong/made a mistake about the NHS this morning on the TV. ...He seemed to have found out very quickly...within in 2 hrs of the vote result being announced...convenient eh!

Then he said...today we have had a revolution, without a shot being fired...has he forgotten Jo Cox already.

The people have democratically voted for Brexit...but please God, do not let Farage anywhere near my country

I can't understand what you mean. Farage was not mentioned in Yorkies post. Why have you brought his name into it? I didn't. Or is it that you are so bitter that you didn't bother to read the post? As for Jo Cox, the Brexit campaign didn't cover themselves in SH!T like the Remain camp did by using her murder for political gain. Atrocious behaviour.

It is nothing to do with Yorkies post...I was trying to tell you what I was about to say is not sour grapes either.
I think you are reading too much into things yourself Shefford...sorry for the confusion, but Farage has upset me this morning

Farage, is a **** of a highest order. A deceitful, evil man

I have said in my post that the people have voted democratically, I (and all of us) accept the result...no sour grapes...All I am asking PLEASE...do not allow Farage any power PLEASE.
I note he was not part of the Brexit campaign, they must know what he is too.

I was confused because you answered a post directed at Yorkie. Have you not thought that Farage and his party are now surplus to requirements? If we have a Brexit leader of the Tory (or Labour) party, there is no need for UKIP. UKIP fought for the referendum, we got it, it's done. Bye, bye Nigel. I note that you did not address my comments about the scurrilous actions of the Remain camp over the murder of Jo Cox.

Cameron has gone up in my estimation having watched his speech this morning, graceful acceptance of the outcome, whereas Farage was just a loudmouth, he has no real idea of how to be a statesman.

Maybe, just maybe, those unelected Eurocrats in Brussels will have a long hard look at the way they have imposed their way on Europe and realise that they have to change quickly otherwise this result could have the Domino effect with the likes of Sweden, Netherlands, Danish all lining up to have a vote on Stay or Leave.

It looks like Jezza is a deadman walking, he'll be lucky to see out the summer, great quip from Kaye Hoey about "Corbyn not being too upset at the outcome".

It was only last night that I realised that the people of Gibraltar were voting, not sure they'd be too pleased with the outcome seeing as they voted 96% to remain.......

The next few years will be interesting but Britain may well come out as a stronger country with a still considerable voice/position within Europe.

Agree with Shefford, massive showing of sour grapes from the 'Remains'......Sorry comrades, that's democracy for you, the nature of the beast, and you're not able to pick out the bits that suit your agenda.

There's exciting and scary times ahead and history is being made before our very eyes so strap yourselves in for what could be a bumpy ride. We as a country have definitely taken the red pill so prepare yourselves for our descent into the rabbit hole.......
