I am sure that comes really cheap doesn't, whereas if NHS was running the service it would have been worse with under funding, but we can pay private company more than what we would have funded in to the NHS...go figure

Care for the elderly is going to get hit hard as it was reliant on foreign workers to do the jobs that the Brits won't do. A lot of council care facilities already can't cope and are closing down. On the flip side the private care home business is booming and people are cashing in the equity in their properties to fund their last few years in a private care home as the fees to live in a decent home are astronomical.

No, they don't run these services on behalf of the NHS, they run them for their own private profit. Yes the taxpayer foots the bill and it costs more than it would to fund the NHS to do the same Job because they also have to pay their shareholders.

He has indeed. I believe it covers a large part of Kent. It took a couple of years to get through several court challenges. Watch this space, the door is now open for him to bid for similar trusts all over the UK

The other issue with private healthcare providers is that their working conditions are often less favourable than the NHS. I know because I worked for the NHS for 16 years and for all the problems they are still a fairly decent employer, good salaries, decent holiday, good pension contributions. Private healthcare is about any other business, maximising profit. So the shareholders come first. Employees are often employed in short term contracts with less favourable rights. Again, all adds ups to more money for the rich and less for the working class.

I know this is data from a poll but it's interesting. Easier to vote for uncertainty and instability when you're older, especially if you have a house and savings. Young people have to live with the consequences of this referendum despite voting against the final result.

OK so more jobs higher wages.
A better NHS with all that money they said could go into it.
    Better schools.
The pound will bounce back quickly.

    Let's see then.

This is the type of naivety people live under, thinking its better of under private because its still the same! They are there for the money not for service, profit is the most important aspect of these private run companies that are contracted to NHS...

and air traffic controllers will recieve training on how to deal with high altitude pigs.

I guess Scotland will have another referendum and then be off to rejoin, taking their oil, our only real asset, with them.
Putin will be well chuffed, he's been nibbling on the edges of the EU for a few years now, now it's been weakened maybe he'll have a proper push.
And, finally, the immigrants, the non euro ones will still come, but unlike the EU ones they won;t leave.

Looks like Corbyn is a dead man walking so effectively neither of the main two parties has a leader.

But it will all be fine, the pieces will just fall into place.

This is one perfect example of why I think you'll be disappointed Custard. That's what you've believed you're voting for but Farage has already said "controlling immigration" doesn't mean reducing immigration. Even he accepts that.

And that's just one example. Those in places such as the likes of Sunderland who voted Out believing they were doing it for more jobs, more pay, better schools, better housing are going to find things become harder. What they voted for was actually not what they expected. And if that happens how will they feel then?

The vote is done now and we can all look past our disagreements. So don't take this as an attack because that debate has been had.

All I'll simply say is what I genuinely care about... for all of us. I for one hope that all the concerns I had about the repurcussions of a leave vote are wrong. I genuinely worry for our economy, my family's future BUT also for the hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk that are dependent on exports (and imports) to the EU, particularly in manufacturing.

I really really hope you and the Out campaign are right about all this. Because there is no other choice now.

At the moment we are a rightwing country and moving even further to the right. We need a swing to the left to restore balance. We have not had leftwing governments in the UK since 1979 and we are paying the price now

Agreed. People voted because they thought it would get rid of the immigrants. They'll be scratching their heads when a recession means they've lost their jobs and the immigrant family next door are still next door.
