Cameron had no choice ... the majority of the country (or at least those that voted) has voted against its' leader ... can't get more of a 'no confidence' vote than that ... don't like the bloke personally ... too smug and shiny faced for me ... but i do respect him for falling on his sword ... dignified...

As I said, 2015 told us the fate of the referendum was far more likely to be decided by the Labour
core demographic than the stereotype home countyshire well-ish off Daily Mail reading Tory.
So Cameron from the start was risking everything on things he had little sway over.
But credit to him for at least having the balls to give the vote.

    Yeah, he's done for too.
The first serious test of his ad nauseam "huge mandate" parroting, and he could not even vaguely be the
face of the Labour position on in/out. Perhaps the Twatterati kids who elected him leader erroneously thought
they were deciding to change his name by deed poll to "Votey McNoFace" .

He had to resign immediately. The country voted against what he was campaigning for so he's not the right man to lead anymore. He also shouldn't be expected to oversee the car crash that the next 6 months will bring. Why should he?

The uncertainty has only just begun, Bod. As I say, the divorce will take 2+ yrs. I'm told that billions have flown out of the U.K. already, and more will follow.

The currency is unstable, the future uncertain. No major international investors are going to stick around under those circumstances....

Yes, the scalpers, day traders will love all this volatility. It will fly around like a balloon with the air let out of it.

There is no doubt in my mind that this decision has damaged the UK economy in the short to medium term, and the longer term is a complete unknown right now.

Have our cake and eat....I think Turkey and immigration was the main factor for the leave to win, most people are quite backward and illiterate in that sense and flag waving morons.

I hope for all our sake it turns out ok...

Exactly. He called this referendum and bet that he could win it. He lost.

It was really nothing more than two ****ing Old Etonians having their private supremacy battle using the UK's future as their battleground! <grr>

Because the British public picked the Tories to run this country, and the Tories picked him to be Prime Minister.
Do you know how many times a Prime Minister or party leader has been rebuffed or defeated when trying to pass laws through parliament? Taking your ball and going home because things didn't go your way, only proves that he was a weak sauce leader to begin with.
