I'm so glad I don't live in the UK any more. Whatever the result UK politics have changed forever, if there is to be a UK at the end of all this.

Well it did have the feeling of the potential economical factor V the issue of immirgration.

Looking at the results particularly in the north people certainly voted strongly in favour of " out".

How long willl people give for the changes that will happen now to come into force?

I fear it will take years Mark...
A popular vote yes.... and yet most of our power players both in govt and industry did not want it.
    The people have it ...just...

The biggest problem was there were horrible, scare-mongering liars on both sides, I would guess, in the end it came down to those wanting Cameron out.

Sadly, that may not happen and just look at the cost to Joe Public!

It was a protest vote Dave, against the whole establishment and the EU. was just a part of that. I hope the flag waving idiots this morning realise that their irresponsible actions have placed the existence of the flag which they are waving in the gravest jeopardy - Scotland should now break away with immediate effect, and I hope they do. There will also be many British citizens living in other countries who will have to reconsider whether they want to hold onto their British passports - and I am one of them.

If I were single, I would move. Probably to Scotland if they remain in. What sort of future my children will have to look forward to is my great worry. A massive further shift to the right in British politics, privatised education and privatised health, industry that won't be able to compete, pensions' value destroyed, isolationism leading to marginalised communities leading to further terrorism from within... Where do you stop?

The future's dark. The future's blue.

Mathematically certain now for leave. Independence day, it will not be long before the break up of this failed project. No doubt the eurocrats will retire with huge pensions.

Scotland would have to apply to join the EU, they cannot use the pound or join the Euro. They would also not leave the UK whilst the oil price is so low.

The remain side obviously greatly underestimated the popularity of Farage, Johnson and Gove.

France will be next to demand a referendum.

Will the crooked eurocrats resort to their usual tactic and demand further referendums until the 'correct' result is attained?

Maybe they are beginning to understand democracy.

I can't see the comment, suffice to say this level of 'power of thought' has put us in this mess. Where will these people be when the country goes tits up? Same as Spurs fans on Champions League nights - invisible, or wearing their shirts, beating their chests if some small thing goes their way.

There are mounting calls for Comrade Corbyn to stand down as he is being blamed for Labour's ineffective campaign.

I have just watched Liam Fox speak.... one of the most reasoned speakers on the leave side.

We need to behave with dignity at this time.. We need Europe..... so not triumphalism or egotism please...

...and save us from BoJo, Farage, Gove and co....

Britain has not only outed itself from Europe but also from the rest of the World with this act - only Putin will be really satisfied with this result. If your only comments on here now are to 'crow' and to resort to your cheap jibes about political opponents then I suggest you go away and play with your ball on the motorway - it is people like you that have destroyed the country that I was once proud of being part of.

You have been proved wrong on 95% of your comments over the last few months, it is your position that is out of touch with the majority of the British public.
