    I am not blaming you.

Who am I to judge? I mean, I'm American. I would vote strongly against us joining the EU.

I'm actually kind of on the leaver side on this.
It's not like you are declaring war. You just decided you don't want to play on team EU anymore, because you feel like it isn't worth it. That is your right.

I am pretty sure the EU would adamantly oppose letting me and my redneck, uncouth loudmouth country in their little club, so let's not pretend they are all for peace and understanding.

I just think it is better not to tiptoe around the issue. It isn't black or white. Define who you are, where you stand, and the trade-offs you understand you are making. Assertively state your shade of grey.

Otherwise it is politics as usual. That is what they do. Create a false dichotomy, turn it into a wedge, doom-monger, and force people to accept a bunch of bullshit because the fear of not doing so is worse.

It is about citizen vs immigrants, nation vs region, etc. Better to own it and explain than to deny it.

Polling stations were rather quiet up here, Glasgow was a 50% turnout, we'll be higher though.

The Guardian are saying that the Labour party are now working on the assumption that Leave will win.

GBP is in freefall now that it looks like Leave's a strong favourite.

Betting on where it is when the market opens tomorrow, if Leave wins? I'll say 1.33 vs. the USD.

I'd say so. The 45% < 55% in England is irreversible. It's goodnight Brussels and Strasbourg.

Not really Tory grassroots will vote 7/3 to leave. tory voters aren't as heavy towards leave. People with money or those comfortable tend to want to remain. It is the same as the last election. It was a Labour swing to UKIP and a lot of people who would have voted UKIP on this issue at the last election voted for a referendum instead.

That is why I say it is scary because UKIP would have hit 6m or so at the last election had the Tories not offered an election and if tonight had finished remain (it still might) the UKIP will get to very scary territory because they had loads of second places last time round that don't need that many more votes to win the seats.

I don't want UKIP in any kind of power. They only have 1 policy that most sane people agree with.

Bloody 'ell chaps, get up for my early morning wee wee and grab a listen to R4 to hear we're making a right pickle out of this.

I still think the remains will nick it at the death but this is not the referendum I was promised.

Will be interesting to see how the pound supposedly taking a pounding will effect this summers transfers, at home and abroad.

It would be the same in any country in the world. It isn't about immigrants. It is about me doing what I consider best for me and my family, then after that my friends, then after that my people. My wife is not a citizen she is an immigrant. A lot of her family live here. They are immigrants. I am not anti immigrant but for people like me it is simply I have to think about jobs.

I am self employed at the moment but it is a fake job because I sell stuff on ebay and only earn about £100 a week for doing it. The government don't question that I am not earning enough money because there are maybe a million people doing self employed jobs that aren't paying a week's wage and the government are just ignoring their own rules because they don't want the real unemployment figures to show what has happened and is happening.

My guess is the real figure of unemployment if the government did not hide all the people on sick or depression or in fake jobs or any other side scheme would be close to 9 million.

I don't want to do what I do but I have to because the tax credits and housing benefit means I and my family can survive. I want a job but I can't get one because I have no qualifications other than GCSE and I cannot talk to people face to face which rules out almost everything. I am a hard worker and I am fine eith being bossed around. But I can't work behind a bar or in a shop because of my aspergers.

Hopefully in the near future I can go back to packing eggs or even plucknig chickens. Plenty of work around here if they will allow you to do it.
