I would take Jones in a heartbeat, although I think it's unlikely. I think we should be aiming to play Robertson and Brady together. Robertson is still v v young and has the potential to be a Gareth Bale. I do however, think that Brady's stock will go up that much if he continues to play the way he has, and he will end up at a "bigger" club.
I agree, Brady and Robertson overlapping on the left should be a joy to see. If only Dave and Elmo could sort their side out!
I'd take Brady back at the price we sold him for, no more. Whilst on his day he's very good, he is too inconsistent. Norwich fans say he had a poor second half of the season and even spent spells on the bench. After the Euros he has had I wouldn't be surprised to see him move up a level to a Southampton, Everton or Stoke anyway.
Mirror and Metro reporting we have told Liverpool they must pay £12 million for Robbo... what the ****.. Do we just think of figure... And yes I know.. paper talk..
Liverpool transfer target Andrew Robertson priced at £12m by promoted Hull. Also says we want Brady back, who Norwich value at £12m. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...rpool-transfer-target-andy-robertson-8268871? Feel we could get more for Robertson, especially with the fees being quoted this window. Also Robertson is the better player and with much more potential for me, so I wouldn't be happy with a straight swap.
Yes. They tried to buy someone but changed their mind after they were told it would cost them 7 million. So we went and added 5 mill to that to get them to piss off. Thats my guess.
Brady has become a much more dangerous player this season because Norwich and Ireland play him on the left wing. Buying him back to be a left back would be a waste.
£12m a bit low for Robertson for me; the market is seemingly crazy so why should sell without cashing in? We'll owe Dundee Utd a wedge if we sell as well if I remember correctly. On the Brady issue, I would be happy to welcome him back, but only once we have strengthened with a couple of strikers and a midfielder (or 2). We need to lay down a marker and get the striker issue sorted.
Considering he's play at right back a number of times I don't think you're entitled to be that critical.
Think you'll find he played more games at left-back than on the left wing for Norwich last season. Played 29 games- 11 on the wing
What rather unusual logic. Correct, he has played there. Doesn't mean he's any good in that position. Guess what - McShane played right back for us a few times - would you say he was good enough to play there?
Norwich fans say he's a much better lb, as he has space to run into. They didn't rate him on the wing. Bit like us with Elmo
Elmo has been fine there on a number of occasions. If odubajo had been injured he would have deputised. Really not worth taking someone to task over.
Trying to kill time whilst the referendum results roll in. I've been thinking who out of our current players are near enough nailed on starters next year. I'm fairly confident Odubajo, Dawson, Robertson, Snodgrass, Livermore, Diame and Hernandez, will all at least start the season, and most probably Davies as well. So imo we need a goalkeeper, holding midfielder and left mid. Whilst I wouldn't say no to a younger center back. New Odubajo Dawson Davies/New Robertson Livermore New Snodgrass Diame New Hernandez So 3/4 major signings, as well as a few more for squad depth and I think we'll be golden Although if Steve Bruce is in charge we'll probably see McGrgeor and Huddlestone lining up against Leicester.
