Why would they queue up to do it when there's little market left there and they've managed to limp along in their own area for now?

You may as well get to what ever point you're trying to make, because you're missing your target with these attempts.

I made my point in the first post I made on the subject but I'll reiterate it for you - if I lived in Hull I wouldn't even contemplate voting Leave because of the potential impact that Siemens themselves have said it may have.

They've said it will have zero impact. You may recall the back story, which was that other countries in Europe struggled to give them the commitment they needed. Now they've invested in the infra-structure, they're not prepared to take another hit like they did in Spain.

One of the problems they faced was local employers afraid of losing their workforce to better pay and conditions.

Read back & look at who brought up Siemens in the brexit thread? Everyone's using scaring tactics with doom & gloom If we come out! i just said f'ck em! and as has been said its not thousands of jobs! And I can't be bothered to look back but someone even came back with me wanting Nissan to clear off next!! Now I dont know much about turbines but I know about cars & they're deffo not European!

Any idea on what the effect would be on player transfers and work permits?

Yeah it was me. You said we can build turbines ourselves so why do we need Germans to do it? So are you saying Nissan are OK in Sunderland because, even though we can make cars ourselves, they're not European so they can stay?

German companies take a longer term approach to investment.
In this country its get rich quick thats why we have ceeded the power companies to foreign owners.

You're not getting my point though! It's too late now the booths are soon to close! But people shouldn't be using companies maybe leaving the UK if we vote out as a scare tactic! Most of them are here because it suits them to be!

Don't pay any attention to the bookies odds....
Ladbrokes today confirmed that the bets they were taking were around 60-70% on Brexit but low stakes.
Someone lumped £25 grand on remain beginning of week which meant they slashed their odds, nothing to do with the outcome just normal bookie practice. Other bookies reported similar large bets.
Financial people in the City hinted the large bets were placed with bookies on remain to do just that, slash the odds so they could open long positions betting on the FTSE and the Pound rising.
We are being played.....with so much emphasis on the bookies odds fueling more greed in the City.

I have a sneaking suspicion for a leave vote around 59%........

We dont have the capacity feed ourselves or enough fuel to survive a very cold winter.
If people think they can theyre simply havent listened to either side of the argument.

When I voted this morning there were about 6 people in front of me in a queue around 7:30am.
I always go to vote at this time before work, and I have never ever seen anyone else before in the polling station.
Some very determined people around today ensuring their vote counted, fingers crossed they were all leavers.

I doubt it mate. Most of these " close " opinion polls over the last few weeks have had quite a few " don't knows ".

" Don't knows " tend to not like change and when it comes to putting the cross in the box prefer to keep the status quo.

I think the bookies have got it more accurate than the opinion polls.

Of all the things this referendum means you would make your choice based on the potential impact Siemens said it may have, wow!
Talk about not seeing the big picture, you have seen a drop in the ocean.
You're welcome to come back and say as you don't live in Hull you have made your choice based on other factors.

And there will be a good number of people who want to leave but said not sure when asked to avoid being called racist or similar, but at the ballot box will put a X in the leave box. (There is of course no racist conotation whatsoever in voting leave at all).

I know what you are saying but equally there are people who publicly would rather say they are in the Leave camp because they think it sounds more patriotic but privately in a ballot box will do something entirely different.

I guess in a few hours one of us will find out we've guessed wrong, I'm not going to say I'm 100% certain but I think Remain will win. Maybe !

Anyone who votes leave is a racist thinking that leaving means we can deport anyone who isn't white.

one thing i dont like about remain , is their attitude of shoulder shrugging , sitting on hands , being thankful for what we have and all that boring ****e , the Mavericks of this nation are supposed to be left leaning , yet they all suffer with a rather defeatist attitude regards Europe , our pulling power and future prosperity .

imagine if we all had this same attitude to our parents apron strings :/
