You should probably have waited for him to answer before stepping in on his behalf as he is in fact giving Nigel the credit for it.

On the premise that Farage has long been the face of UKIP, at the very minimum he
has not been a turn-off for those who like the aims/policies but cannot stomach the man.

The truth is the increasing UKIP support (and the corresponding Tory panic that has led to
the referendum being called now) is probably due in no small part to the man.

It isn't nonsense! Europe needs us, trade wise, far less than we need them. Given the other factors I've already stated, any deals would be very much on their terms.

The long term effects are unknown. Although the UK treasury has predicted a drop of 3-4% in GDP long term. The short to medium term effects will be highly unpleasant and very likely to plunge the UK economy back into the recession it has just clambered out of.

And, as I've said for, what?? So, ultra right wing 'little Englanders' and nutters can dream of a 'rule Brittania' that disappeared long ago!

The EU members couldn't negotiate with us directly outside of a group agreement so your point is nonsensical

We are going in circles and I've given my opinion on what I think we would gain in my long post, I appreciate your position and agree on many of the things you've said re short term effects though not necessarily the depth of the effects <ok>

You've misread my post, I'm referring to the difference in a non-eu country doing a trade deal with us or with the EU after an exit <ok>

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Europe is perfect. Far from it. I would never support a move to a federal Europe and my vote would change to leave. However, our current arrangement is fine, and the U.K. economy has prospered.

I also think, hope, that the apparent closeness of this vote will send a warning shot across the bows of Juncker and those in Brussels. A 'you're walking on thin ice, don't push it' shot.

My overriding concern is the economy, as all other things stem from that. As I have no doubt that the economy will be significantly damaged by us leaving, it's a no brainer to vote remain.

Not how it reads but anyway, how can Blighty negotiate better trade deals as 1 Nation than the collective of the EU? Expedience probably but better or worse than the current status quo? I know where my money's at....

I do like a bit of Polish grub, they have a Polish week in Lidl now and then. Will this all go if we leave the EU?

The trade argument is bollocks imo. Tariffs/quotas do no one any good, not least the german/french consumer. I don't see why leaving would automatically lead to tariffs. Admittedly, I don't know much on this beyond basic Economics. Has anyone said "we're putting a tariff on British products if the UK leaves"?

There's tariffs for every countries goods, one of the big things of being in the EU is an agreed trading bloc without tariffs, which makes it unique in the world (the other trading blocs still have tariffs on some things and not on others). Leaving by definition means leaving this agreed trading bloc, so we will be like everyone else - ie having to pay a tariff on goods, unless we negotiate some of the at minimum 50+ trade deals we will be leaving.

Maybe he's physically making up claims and pictures to show around his local polling booth rather than posting made up balls on here...
