I’ve been married four times, and my eight children were born across a 30 year period

One of nine siblings, I was born in Ireland during the early 1930s
As a youngster, I represented my country at various sports, but serious illness ended my dreams of a semi-professional career
I appeared in over 70 films during a 45-year career; I won a Golden Globe and received two Oscar nominations
There are two life-size statues of me in my home country, one of which shows me as a sporting teenager

With Italian ancestry, I was born in New York during the early 1940s
My father and uncle taught me to play the guitar at the age of eight; I cut my first record at just 14, and I changed my name just two years later
I’ve sold over 30 million records, collaborated with the likes of McCartney and Clapton, and won two Grammys for my production work
I continue to perform up to 70 shows each year, and hopefully I’ll be inducted into America’s Pop Music Hall of Fame later this year
