40 years that have been more prosperous due to the EU

 

Free health care works two ways. My next door Neighbours for a while where here for a heart operation PAID FOR BY PORTUGAL so it isn't all as it seams.

All my family have Eu nationals as dentists and hygienists.

If crime rate is at its highest then it is due to an underfunded police force and a diabolical criminal justice system that is again woefully underfunded. All this means that people get away with low level crime.

Building industry is heading for a skills shortage, I know apprentices on very good money in that industry.

We elect our representatives in General Elections, including ministers, who then go to Brussels to form the European Council, so yes we do elect them.

 

UNDECIDED? THEN VOTE REMAIN!

WHY?

Don't listen to the nonsense that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The UK can leave the EU anytime it wants - all it takes is an Act of Parliament (Article 50 Maastrict Treaty).

However, once we're out we're out as the same Article 50 of the Maastricht Treaty states that all 27 remaining EU countries have to approve the re-admittance of a country that leaves.

So, if you're still not sure, the most sensible thing is to keep your options open by voting Remain. You can always vote in UKIP to take us out if you change your mind in the future (although if you did you'd be an total c***, but that's just my opinion!).

 

None of that is facts, it's all 'I reckon'.

 

Anyone who voted for Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s voted for our borders to be opened to the EU.

That's because she signed the Single European Act in 1986 which put in place the free movement of people. It was in the Tory manifesto at the time, so anyone who voted Tory in the 80s has no excuse.

'All primary schools full within 4 years'? That's total nonsense.

'Terror if we stay' Eh? How does that work?! All terror attacks on UK soil so far have been from homegrown terrorists - 7/7, Lee Rigby etc. If Ms Hopkins is scared of importing terrorists why doesn't she make more noise about non-EU immigration which is largely from Pakistan?

Nothing that woman says ever stands up to even the most cursory scrutiny.

Of 1360 posts on this subject, No; I have not read your personal circumstances.

From what you say, it would appear that your profession may be the victim of market forces; too many people qualified to do too few jobs. So you may be peeved that you feel that you are underpaid for the skillset necessary to do your job. In addition, allocation of budgets don't always reflect what is needed to fulfill the requirement in a fair way.

I do know from personal experience that care workers are not high earners. Of course, if they are exploited because they receive less than the legal wage and terms and conditions of employment, then the employer should be brought to book and fined appropriately. I certainly would not put the job in the category of menial employment.

Nor for example, would I include the plethora of lovely girls and boys who come from the EU and top up the NHS cause as doctors and nurses etc.

My reference to relatively menial tasks referred to the immigrants who work in the fields picking fruit and vegetables; serve in your local restaurant, pubs and hotels with extraordinary unsociable hours etc. Ask them what their background and qualifications are and you may be very surprised. They are doing jobs which the agricultural and service sector cannot fill with UK workers.

For example, my grandson's partner is a qualified Polish solicitor. Her qualification is not recognised in the UK and she is currently employed as a receptionist.
