Well deserved win for Ireland. Italy not great tonight. I prefer to have NI than Turkey but It'll be a tough, physical game for sure.
If England sort their strikers out then i can see them disposing Iceland quite comfortably and i think the draw has been kind to us drawing N ireland who we should on form beat them by a couple of goals to put us in the remaining 8....
I just hope we approach it in the same manner as the Russia game - a game to be won, rather than "let's not lose"
Ok so get past NI and it's probably Belgium in the quarters (a team we have beaten and drawn against in the qualifiers), get past Belgium and it's probably Croatia in the semis. Get past them and it's one of England, France, Italy, Spain or Germany in the finals. Not a bad run to the finals at all... Or maybe I'm just getting a bit ahead of myself
The way I honestly see it. We have both come out of the weakest group and we both have the easiest games we could have picked for the last 16. You have already shown that when you come up against any sort of decent opposition, then you are going to struggle. I have no doubt that when/if England get to the QF against France, that will be the end of our run. If you have to play Belgium in the QF, then that will be the end of your tournament, too.
Well let you beat us so you could win your cup final. We were concentrating on winning the group instead Oh, and we've already beaten this Belgium team.
