Day 174, film 174," focus" will smith... Never seen it, it's on sky and I'm bored... Got a feeling it's gonna be **** !!!
The one where he's a conman? Started ok but I got bored and nodded off (or I got pissed and nodded off ... I can't remember which, either way I definitely only watched half of it Shall I bother watching the rest?
just finished Australian , Michael Wares' war documentary "Only the Dead" wow , it takes your breath , shows the real problems faced by embedded Journalists , He starts off as a rookie and somehow after the end of the actual war around 2003 he gains the confidence of insurgent fighters - right after Saddam's regime is toppled , he is there filming plots and attacks on coalition forces before moving along to the al Zarqawi mujahideen , theres beheading , executions suicide bombing and a protracted death scene either filmed by MW or edited into the documentary , so be aware of that . 8/10 would be higher if the documentary gave more of an idea as to what the journalist thought when doing nothing when things get a bit barbaric , well worth checking out all the same . my second Aussie documentary this yr and both good
Utter drivel , bored me ****less, the blonde in it Is ****ing useless but defiantly worth a cpl.... My money is you nodded off. Ha ha
Cheers I have genuinely wondered whether to give it another go. You've saved me from that waste of time!
The Railway man is an incredible story. But not an easy watch by any means. Kidman is excellent in it and Colin Firth who I usually can't watch isn't bad either. Pretty staid filming but the intensity of the story makes up for it. Not seen Starred Up but I will watch it now. Thanks for pointing it out.
I watched Spirited Away earlier. Easily the greatest animated film ever. Studio Ghibli blows Disney and Pixar out of the water when in comes to animation IMO.
Starred up absolutely brilliant film. Some of the best acting I have seen in ages. Again, not a family film. You picked a right pair this time. Refreshing change from all the hollywood ****e and ABC Minors stuff though.
"Starred up", loved it, my kind of film, the young lad in it, jack O'connell is brilliant. That lad will go far.. Proper British film, cannot be made anywhere else in my opinion.
"Pride and glory", bloody good film, loved it !!! Not much more I can put, film does it all.... In my opinion that is.....
Got 'National Lampoon's Animal House' on as I write this. Needed an 'upper' after England. Such a great comedy. I wish in some ways my time at uni was like this. Belushi was just such a fantastic comedian. So sad what happened.
