Current standings for MPs who have declared which way they will be voting Remain - 479 Leave - 158 Although I don't trust MP's as far as I could chuck them it is an indication of how "those in the know" are heading. Over 1200 business leaders are urging voters to stay in Europe, 50 of the top FTSE rated companies want the UK to Remain. The list includes Richard Branson, Barclays, Standard Life etc http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jun/22/1200-business-leaders-back-remain-eu-referendum-vote As opposed to the 300 who want us to leave. The list includes Superdrug and British American Tobacco etc http://news.sky.com/story/1696725/eu-vote-300-business-leaders-back-brexit How's that for a well balanced argument?
I'm voting remain simply because it's the lesser of two evils. Bad enough being on the same side as Cameron, Gideon etc. but imagine being on the same side as Johnson, Farage, Gove et al. I'd rather cheer on England in the Euros FFS!
Aye, but voting in is like getting screwed by Monaco. Voting out's like getting ****ed by Monaco's stepbrother, the black John Holmes.
The figures can be interpreted any way you like but they indicate what elected members and business leaders in the UK are thinking. It doesn't always follow that the voters think the same. It is more my opinion than my argument. I don't expect to change anyone's mind but Toby has convinced three people to switch sides so well done to him! Voters are a funny bunch, just ask the SNP. Lost their referendum but later on they cleaned up in the general election. I see this going the same way with the EU vote and expect us to remain but the right wing backlash will be inevitable and the nasty party will lurch further to the right under Boris and the Specky Twat.
