Sunderland AFC transfers: Black Cats make approach for Inter winger, say reports 12:30, 21 JUN 2016 BY STEVE BROWN Sources suggest Sunderland have made an approach for Inter Milan's Diego Laxalt, whilst learning the price of two further targets COMMENTS please log in to view this image Inter Milan's Diego Laxalt, front, and Manchester United's Michael Keane battle for the ball Sunderland have made an approach for Inter Milan winger Diego Laxalt, according to sources in Italy. The Black Cats are among a host of clubs - including Genoa and Fiorentina, plus a second, unnamed Premier League outfit - Tuttomercatoweb claim are interested in the Uruguayan. The 23-year-old joined Inter from Defensor Sporting Uruguay in 2013, and spent his first season on loan at Bologna. Further loan spells at Empoli and Genoa followed. A left-sided player also able to play through the middle, Laxalt seems certain to leave the Giuseppe Meazza this summer. Sunderland have also been linked with Denmark striker Martin Braithwaite, with The Mail reporting that Toulouse have placed a £4 million price tag on the 25-year-old and that the player has flown to England for extra training sessions with striker coach Allan Russell, who works with Newcastle United’s Aleksandar Mitrovic and West Brom’s Saido Berahino. West Ham United have had two bids for the player - who scored 12 goals last season but is out of contract next summer - knocked back, the latter thought to be £3 million. The Hammers could also scupper Sunderland’s hopes of landing James Tomkins, with reports claiming the club have slapped an astonishing £12 million valuation on the 27-year-old defender. Meawhile, sources in Yorkshire suggest Leeds United have cooled their interest in signingLiam Bridcutt on a permanent basis. The 27-year-old spent most of last season on loan at Elland Road, and former manager Steve Evans was keen to make the move permanent. But reports claim Gary Monk is less enamoured, and would prefer a move for Sebastian Larsson if the Swede’s wage demands can be resolved, with one report indicating the midfielder earns £38,000 a week. Don't know anything about this lad from Inter but I know he's not Alvarez so if he did come I wouldn't be measuring the transfer against that other fiasco.
Not concentrating properly, read "tuttomercatoweb" as a prem club name and was a tad confused. Wonder why he's "certain to leave" inter?

Mitrovic "27 shots per goal " and Saido "I believe my own hype but am really quite ****" berahino? Must be the best coach in the world
**** sake. I thought I was going to open this thread and read about our sensational bid for Perisic. Never mind
Or vice versa. Anyone know anything about this Braithwaite lad? We've been linked for a while so could be something in it. According to Wiki his record was just under 1 in 3 last season in the French league which isn't great... but it also lists him as a "forward / winger" - anyone know which position he was playing to get his goals? 1 in 3 from the wing is probably worth a punt, but if he was playing up top that record is dodgy for me, especially in that league.
Toulouse had an awful season so I wouldn't read too much into his record from what he did last season, they were dead and buried with about 10 games to go and they did a Sunderland. Wissam Ben Yedder is the boy you want from Toulouse.
Made a few quid off Toulouse towards the end of the season, they finished so strong and the odds did not reflect their form. I was getting 2s on them to win or draw which bumped accies significantly.
Yeah when they changed their manager they got a few wins, they had a mid-season slump that lasted forever... like when Pardew used to roll off 20 defeats in a row at Newcastle
That will do for me. You're usually spot on when it comes to these foreign lads so I'll take your word for it... will be hunting you down if we get him and he's ****e like
For the money it's not even a risk mate. His finishing needs work but he should learn from Defoe, he's very decent in the air, he's strong and he's skilful. Could be a really nice option.
