I watched the Wales game and Wales were very good. They dismantled the team that England drew with. From what I've seen of England they do not have any players with the flair that some of the Welsh have, though I suspect that England are better at grinding out a result.

I actually feel sorry for the English players. They are reasonable players, not world beaters but good enough to reach the quarterfinals of most tournaments, but the level of unrealistic expectation that is put on them must be awful. Even when it is accepted that they are not favourites the expectation that they
    could win is still there.

Well having Bale and even Ramsey must help knowing there are 2 very players in attack which means Wales can be very solid at the back.,

Against England they were a bit too negative if anything..

We lacked the pace and width again which will be a worry for the next round against Hungary or Iceland maybe who will not mind sitting back.,

Then again no one had been really outstanding.

NI definitely through - the other result sets up a Spain v Italy match in the last 16 ! The Germans will be delighted at that, their 2 bogey teams playing each other. <yikes>

That result has really opened up one side of the draw for a Croatia or Poland to reach the semis - even Wales!

Meanwhile the big boys are on the other side of the draw.

They said on the radio that the top half of the draw have zero World Cups, zero European Championships. The bottom half has 11 World Cups and 9 European Championships. So glad we did so well against the Russians and Slovakians. ;)
Good luck to the Welsh, I say. :)

    Roy Hodgson said,
    - England are afraid of no-one.

    Alan Shearer said,
    - No-one is affraid of England.

It is best for England to play against us and not a really good nation.

Feel sorry for NI....... But I do think that Wales have just that little more killer potential with Bale and Ramsay

I wonder how much it has cost the French taxpayer to jet Hollande around the country to watch football matches?

Yes.... they looked lethal at times in the second half... ROI missed a sitter though too.

Belguim on that form can go all the way...but Wales know how to beat them.

Looks like Hazard has found his form..
