I'm gutted. He's the best written/portrayed antagonist that has ever been on thrones. Joffrey was a whiney little bitch.
If I was Sansa, I would marry Littlefinger, consolidate my hold on Winterfell and its surrounding lands, then I would use the remaining forces, including the Knights of the Vale, to march on the Dreadfort, Karhold and Last Hearth, exterminate the remaining members of House Karstark and House Umber, give their lands to Stark loyalists like the Mormonts, Hornwoods, Mazins and the free folk. Then I would send ravens to the other Northern houses like the Glovers, Manderlys and Cerwyns demanding they bend the knee and swear fealty to me. The Starks have been honourable and it's done them no good since season 1.
I unfortunately am boycotting it this week for football......could turn out to be a mistake. Will save it till next Monday and have 2hrs of it.....even though I know what roughly happens.
That's why Joffrey's death was satisfying, because he were a right annoying little bastard. Ramsay Bolton's death was as equally satisfying for different reasons - he was just pure ****ign evil, and seeing him get his comeuppance in such a brutal way was beautiful.
Brilliant episode! Made me proper annoyed that Gum Gum (or whatever the giants name is) didn't have some sort of weapon tho. He would've done some serious damage with a decent size mace or such, even a smaller tree would be good Would've smashed that wall that surrounded them!
Yeah he got brutalised twice, couldn't ask for a better outcome. I thought it was a bit odd that he didn't take down Jon Snow instead of the Giant though
I think he would have used a couple of dead horses in reality but obviously that would be way too brutal to portray on the screen
You could've said the same earlier when he killed Rickon - he could've easily just shot Jon. It's because he wants to torment and anger Jon Snow as much as possible - even moreso because he knows he's lost.
Btw.... Why did Sansa (as it appeared) not mention to Jon that they would get backup from Littlefinger? "Oh we'll see it he'll make it and send them in last second" (Yeah yeah, more exciting for the viewer etc) but... Women...
She kept it secret from him so that she had more power. Brienne questioned her about it previously too. Sansa knows how to play the game well.
