Just read newsnow on the Rovers website Port Vale fans seem to be pleased that Moore has left and joined Rovers Among the words used to describe him most Over rated player at the club Timid seems to me they didn't rate him very highly
Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce that Cristian Montano has agreed a new deal with the club. Montano arrived at the Mem last summer after a seasons spell at America de Cali in his native Colombia. He made 31 appearances for Darrell Clarke's promotion winning side last season chipping in with two goals. On agreeing his new deal, Cristian told us "I'm delighted to have re-signed for the club, Rovers gave me the opportunity to return home from Columbia and all the boys made me instantly welcome and I thank them all for that. The gaffer [Darrell Clarke] gave me my opportunity after Christmas, and I really appreciate his faith. I did my very best to take it and play my part in the promotion push which ended fantastically in that final day at the Memorial Stadium. Finally the biggest thank you to the fans who have always supported me and we look forward to taking on League One together." Montano becomes the eighth player from the promotion winning squad to agree a new contract with the club, following teammates Steve Mildenhall, Daniel Leadbitter and Billy Bodin, James Clarke, Lee Mansell, Mark McChrystal and Ellis Harrison. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news...tian-montano-3145922.aspx#wrmwURf7JHy3zEtz.99

From the OS... Bristol Rovers are happy to announce that Will Puddy has agreed a new deal with the club. Will joined Rovers, on non-contract terms, on 11th August 2014 as emergency cover when Steve Mildenhall was unavailable for the game at Barnet and youth team goalkeeper Kieran Preston was on international duty with Scotland. He made his debut at The Hive a day later and remained with the club for the remainder of the season, appearing in 15 league games and starting in the Play-Off Final against Grimsby Town at Wembley, having signed a permanent deal midway through the season. Last season, Puddy was hampered by injury and only played 50 minutes for the first team when he started in goal away at Dagenham & Redbridge. On agreeing his new deal with the club, Will told us "I would like to say that it was an easy decision to extend my stay with Bristol Rovers. It's an ambitious club to be a part of which is important to me and I can't wait to get back going again." Puddy becomes the ninth player from the promotion winning squad to agree a new contract with the club, following teammates Steve Mildenhall, Daniel Leadbitter and Billy Bodin, James Clarke, Lee Mansell, Mark McChrystal, Ellis Harrison and Cristian Montano. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/new-deal-for-will-puddy-3146004.aspx#1zHQHWp1MMw26DZ2.99
Interesting that the club are "Happy" that Puddy has re-signed, but "Delighted" that most others have re-signed....... I'm still hoping a new #1 will be brought in & even tho most players are staying, I feel some will be loaned out !!
Chesterfield have signed Ched Evans http://www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk/news/article/spireites-sign-striker-evans-3146681.aspx Good luck to the lad. I hope our fans dont be stupid to him. He has suffered a great deal after being wrongly convicted for rape. The guy deserves t be left alone without any issues from rival fans. He is scum for cheating on his partner but she has stuck with him and good luck to them. But being wrongly convicted for rape and served prison time for it too is too much. I wouldnt wish that on my worse enemy.
Bristol Rovers are happy to announce that Jake Gosling has agreed a new deal with the club. After leaving Exeter City, Gosling signed for Rovers ahead of the 2014/15 season in the Vanarama Conference where he made his club debut in the opening game of the season against Grimsby Town at the Memorial Stadium. During his time at Rovers, Jake has gone on to represent his country [Gibraltar] in the recent Euro 2016 qualifying campaign playing against the likes of Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Poland and World Champions Germany. On agreeing his new deal with the club, Jake told us "It was an easy decision to extend my stay with Bristol Rovers because the club and supporters are terrific. We've got a great set of lads here and I cannot wait to get going again in League One" Gosling becomes the tenth player from the promotion winning squad to agree a new contract with the club, following teammates Steve Mildenhall, Daniel Leadbitter and Billy Bodin, James Clarke, Lee Mansell, Mark McChrystal, Ellis Harrison, Cristian Montano and Will Puddy. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news...gns-new-deal-3147126.aspx#2LYsUOrch2DCvyPJ.99
If those four sign we will have the basis of a good squad, if Matty Taylor doesn't sign then I think we will be light up front, cant see Gaffney Harrison or Easter getting 15-20 goals each next season
Maybe not, but throw in Bodin's contribution and between them we might be getting there. Not really that fussed about Taylor, if he stays, great, if he goes, well good luck to him, I'm sure we will manage.
I hope they dont either but you know as well as I do that football tends to attract individuals who have brains akin to one amoeba short of a monkey and I am sure that he will cop some stick on his travels with the spirerites next term, let's just hope that our lot can enjoy the talent rather than the ridicule.
I'm sure if Taylor goes, we won't be left with what we got. DC will get another striker in and hopefully will score just as many. I'm sure DC has his targets ready and the wages we are offering Taylor could be used to get in real quality.
Points west have reported that Chris Lines has agreed a new contract, found this on the Rovers Website under the heading of news
