Madness @robtannermerc The offer for Michael Keane from was £15 million. #LCFC flexing their financial muscle this summer!
Are your owners getting a bit carried away after a brilliant season? £15m for Keane and £25m for Deeney?
According to the Mirror Keane wants to come http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...-leicester-move-8243826#ICID=sharebar_twitter
More importantly, why are these clubs turning down offers like that? I think both these rejections are a sign that we should move onto other things. With the signing of Hernandez, we have plenty of players at CB. Morgan, Huth, and Hernandez are likely to be battling for two starting spots. Wasilewski has signed a new deal but will still likely only be cover. We still have Benalouane and Moore on the books, albeit out of favour, but who could still compete this season, especially with more games. Amartey can also play at CB if necessary. Keane might be young and highly rated, but can't see him supplanting at least the first three if he does sign.
I guess we'll have the CL extra income to spend a bit more on transfers, not sure that its necessary to have the "larger squad" to cover the CL though. Deeney and Keane for £45m does seem crazy, but if thats what Walshy wants given his scouting record, then get 'em in
.. the answer to that one is simple ... anything that might potentially undermine or weaken their chances of EPL survival will be resisted ... because, quite simply, staying in the Prem is worth shed loads more than even the £30 million being touted for Deeney ... Michael Keane looked quite raw when he played for us ... in contrast he was excellent for Burnley last season and they would ideally like to keep their back four intact in what is going to be a very tough season ...
Amartey was brought in as a DM and Benny wants first team football so he will go. Us being after a young CB is not a bad idea - spending that much on someone unproven at this level does seems a bit OTT but then again I rated Waghorn better then Vardy.
All clubs are going to hold out for an extra few quid now we are champions and will earn s**t loads of money next season.
I'd like both Keane and Deeney but the prices mentioned are beyond a joke. The TV money is going to price out transfers within the country especially English players. All it'll do is cause more players to come from overseas and bloody sky will wonder why the national team continues to be ****e!
