So it's basically like watching Liverpool last year? <laugh>

Bit that annoyed me more than most things... dying seconds Hendo has the ball. There is no option but to punt it into the box because there is only ten seconds left. He passed it back to the CB and the referee blues the whistle. That couldn't be any more Liverpool Football Club <doh>

Vardy, Kane and Sturridge are the new Gerrard and Lampard dilemma. We must find a combo that works.

Sturridge central with Kane and Vardy dropped? Rooney as a false 9? To late to experiment in my opinion though.

Vardy doesn't suit a team that dominates possession and plays against teams that stick 10 men behind the ball. Why his move to Arsenal would be suicidal for his personal goal tally.

Issue is, he prob shouldn't have played in any of these 3 group games, probably won't be useful in next game either, but against Germany / Spain / France etc, where we have none of the ball, he'd be perfect to hit them on the counter.

Allen was absolutely brilliant tonight. Worked his socks off. We're both through and I didn't think Wales would get out of the group.<applause>

I don't know why you guys weren't confident. You've got best player in the group in Bale and you more than held your own in qualifying. Group was nice and easy, Russia & Slovakia were nothing, and with top 3 going through in most groups, 1 win pretty much puts you through.

I thought we'd win the group, but I thought we'd win 2 and draw with you guys

It's ok lads...We have to play Germany tomorrow lol....

We've just made it a bit trickier for you as you probably need a draw to guarantee a best 3rd place now as well... if we'd have won you might have got away with a small loss.

Clyne very good. Bertrand pretty bad. Jon Flanagan is a better left back than Bertrand...

I remember when we were linked to him. God he's as bad as Moreno.

Henderson was pretty good considering his lack of game time as well. Hopefully he can come back stronger next season.

We have now see almost the whole squad play and I'd say our stronger team is:

Hart
Walker Cahill Smalling Rose
Dier
Alli Rooney
Sturridge Kane Lallana
Lallana's press and fast turn around is proving very useful. Sturridge's movement and dare makes him a much bigger threat than Sterling. Vardy offered very little but Kane is the better player overall. Vardy is a good impact sub.

I like Dier a lot and Smalling is better than I have previously given him credit for.
Steady on, now.

Bilic is proper class <ok>.

"When the opponent is defending with so many players, you need extra quality in the final third. Either on the wing to beat a player or player in the middle - one on one to do something special.

The English players, you dont have to be harsh on them but you dont praise them for this kind of display. Because you need from this kind of players, when there's no space, to make space. All that they were doing was one two one two one two one two. Nobody tried to beat his own player. And to do something special that is needed to break the opponent who is defending with 8 players."

<applause>

And the fact is we have players who can do just that!!! The fault lies with Woy.

This is why I'd have taken Townsend. One player that can beat a man from standing start with bit of skill and movement, quick and offers width. With only 1 wide player, who has had a **** year, we're asking for trouble and so easy to defend against.

Good to see the best two teams top the group, onwards and upwards, and we are having Joe back at Swansea, he was magnificent tonight running the show in the midfield...........<cheers>

At least we won't need two endure 2 days of permutations on who England play now.

France in qf at best and a tonking.

Last 16... could be Hungary. .. Iceland. .. or Portugal. . England look like only pens will get them through any of them.
