If you told Slovakia that England would only have 3, no 4, chances in 75 minutes they'd probably have settled for that.
Don't be daft mate. We've done everything but score and completely outplayed them. Fair play to Wales though. They've taken their chances. Slovakia bring on a centre back for a forward. Playing for third place. Just don't let them break and score.
Not enough penetration, Col - their keeper hasn't been greatly troubled. We've dominated possession because they've had no ambition but to get a 0-0, which they sadly look like getting.
All three games have felt a bit like that, Col. We've been pretty good in each, having the lion's share of possession, but I kinda agree with Stroller that despite all of that we're not really troubling the goalkeepers. I was hoping Alli was going to be the playmaker of this team, beating his man on the edge of the box and playing that incisive ball in for one of the strikers to bury, but it's not happening. If we're not careful Woy will recall Milner for the next game.
Letting that stupid late goal in against Russia comes back to haunt us. Although I suppose we would still have been second on goal difference. Hopefully Stan is right and we can enjoy more open play in the final third against better teams who actually want to try to win. Roy's gamble didn't work. Well done Wales.
