My view on wanyama is if we can not only cope but improve after losing Morgan, we are more than capable of replacing him and improving the team after wanyama leaves.

 

Just out of interest how many games did we lose last season without Wanyama playing?

 

Disappointed, yes
Expected, yes
Acceptable fee, yes
Will he do well at spurs, yes
Will we find a suitable replacement, yes
Life goes on, yes

Rumours that Shane has agreed a new 3 year contract?? Will sign before going on holidays after the euros.

 

I'm not concerned with VW going. I began to see his limitations properly last season. Not mobile enough, prone to fouls in dangerous areas, some of which were bad enough to obtain cards. Romeu has similar problems but he's much more mobile and flexible than Wanyama.

The only negative I can think of is that whilst I don't mind Saints not having him in the team, I'd rather not be playing against him.

PS. VW was once described by one TV commentator as a poor man's Yaya Toure. For the life of me, I can't see where that guy was coming from. Totally different players.

 

Hopefully JWP bulks up a bit over the summer, if he added a touch more aggression to his game he could be a monster in centre mid. Seen at times he is capable of putting his foot in, just my opinion anyway.

 

Perhaps it was the same person who has described Harrison Reed as the next Paul Scholes? Only this time with a slight hint of racism!

I would actually say that's likely. Shane and Steven are actually best pals since Long joined Saints. I read an article only a day or two ago where they interviewed Long's wife [might have been Davo's] and she said they do everything together. The families socialise together all the time, the Kids play, the Wives seek each other out, and Steven and Shane should have been nominated in Saints alternative awards for Best Couple.

 

Didn't Beefy go with Koeman to Everton being announced in the next 24hours? Just a short trip then Beefy?

 

A guy I know is friends with Steve Davis, he lives where Steve grew up and he's forever sending me photos and Facebook posts of them doing things together and Shane has been in a fair few of them, playing golf, dining etc.

 

I said that before I left on my holiday (not the years). Bertrand and Tadic the others who have been offered contracts.

Yep! I got back from Asia on Friday night late and Saturday was ok, yesterday was a wash out and today I was ok until about 1pm.

Where did you go?

 

Punta Cana in Domican Republic. Went to Dominca island where they film Pirates of the Caribean on one of the days.

 

It felt like a long time Beefy had been away but it had actually only been a scouse 24 hours

 

He was away longer than Fran.! I think he told people he was off for a while. I remember him saying something about his holiday. Don't worry Beefy, somebody would have said something eventually. Fran was away 20 minutes and people started to get the jitters.
