    Nah, last year of contract player/agent holds all the cards. We have done well to keep him and still get the same as we paid for him IMO.
    It's hard for me to care too much about a player that sulked us out of the Europa league. We will miss his tackling, but as he is such a mercenary I find myself not really caring that he's going.

    Also if there is only one interested team then there is nothing that can drive up the price, I'm happy enough with the deal, seems a good one for all parties.

    He wants to move, we either keep him and hope he doesn't sulk, then let him go for nothing, or take the best offer now. If Spuds are the only game in town then so be it. At least then we have the whole summer to replace him, rather than having to do it if he tried to force a move in January.

    £11m is fine.

    Cut him loose before pre-season, get him out of Staplewood and clear the decks ready for the new manager.

    Not suggesting that Victor would be a massive issue, but if he thought we were blocking his move then who knows. Just get it over with.

    With regard time the sell on fee owed to Celtic: I believe that, despite what has been widely reported, it is only on any profit over the initial fee we paid for him.
