Feel free to merge, but I thought the **** deserved some direct and mirthful ridicule following that abject effort at the weekend. ****ing literally nearly pissed myself when he missed. Playing like a sack of ****e. <laugh> Couldn't happen to a more grounded individual <ok>

Because it's a myth he doesn't pass to teammates and he's only playing badly on purpose to get his dream move back to Man Utd

Should have passed to his teammates when taking the pen, they might have scored then.

At this tourney he weakens the Portugal team. Because of his ego they feel they need to get the ball to him and attacks should go through him so they play to that dictate. Adding to that he's obviously a selfish player so further adds to the issue. He should be considered for dropping but of course that'll never ever happen. One because of his reputation and the potential he will do something brilliant in the next match, let's not forget he's been an astonishing player if a prick. Two because there's pressure from sponsors, business etc to keep him in the side and keep his and therefore their profiles high.

This plus the opposition know it too so they target him not allowing him time or space.

As quality a player he is and as ridiculous add it sounds, Portugal would be a better team without him imo.

You wouldn't even need to drop him.

Even if you just said someone who's missed 4/5 of his last pens and hasn't scored with any of his 36 free kicks in tournament finals isn't taking them any more then Portugal would win more games.

I wouldn't drop him if he played for my team.
He's a prize tit but he's still one of the best players in the world and always capable of doing something. He wouldn't be the first great club player who fails to deliver at international level though.

Exactly I don't want him dropped. I want him standing with his hands on his hips shaking his head as his teammates knock in penalties and free kicks without him and run off celebrating.

Nope. Off top of my head you could name best and rush as good examples of that.

I agree he's a prized tit, but sadly this situation has been created with the wealth in the game now days. Far cry from our title wining players who was living in shared digs and didn't own their own mansions restaurents nite clubs etc.

Game needs to get back to modesty, never will sadly and always be too many egos in the game.

Rather him in my team than against me though personally.

I was talking more about Portugal as a team rather than the penalty mate <ok>

I know, but it's not like he's Rooney who just needs dropping #endof

He could still contribute to the team if by some miracle he didn't need everything to revolve around him

I think the other ten players play worse because they all expect C.Ronaldo to do the business for them, they aren't a team as a result. Aka, they'd be a better "team" without him.

Ronaldo won the champions league on his own...

    he scored the "winning goal"

I wouldn't be too hopeful of him ****ing up when it counts.

he will celebrate like he's never missed one ever....
