This is it... Flop gear episode 4 Game of thrones major set piece battle.... Either cheers or anger tomorrow... who knows which
Mito's flop rear review. Spoiler: Spolier OK so. Start. Average. First bit Aston Martin vulcanised. Chris Harris obviously has race experience and he showed it. Great til it gets back to Evans who mouths about but being greatest thing ever on top gear and how dramatic it must have been but Harris was always in control. Did a fast lap making out they broke noise laws to do and it wasn't even close to being thunderous fast. Then they did the Venice trip. Jordan.. OK. .. sabine Schmitt was utterly and totally ****e and annoyed me in the intro then got 10000% times worse on her car intro. Then let blanc gets a bike. Then they roll out celeb chefs thus breaking the entire point of a challenge. They just drive while lads cook in the back. .. pointless.... not funny, not amusing... then sabine has to tell the coaks how to cook.. jesus I actually now want to switch off. Jordan was perfect of this but the others were useless. They then basically did master chef. I fast forwarded. That was part I. Christ. Then the did the guests. Bear grylls and that annoying science twat Brian who's ****ing dreadfully dull unless doing his documentaries. They make them intro each other again.... why? I'll be honest I started fast forwarding again... I mean it's ****ing obvious who wins here. Then surprise the SAS supposed guy has no driving skills at all. Bear was ****. The scientist looked way quicker than grills who must have lost 2 seconds in hammerhead... and only 0.5 seconds fast... shenanigans I think Interviews were 15mins again.... far far too long They rolled out the smiley little guy to review a tesla model x. Ny city. Apparently try it's all kicking off in Ny or something. Oh a car that can do 250mil es needing a supercharge point to actually charge in 30mins otherwise it's exactly like all electric cars. Meh.... dull i think. Very hard to tart up an electric car review. It had ludicrous mode which probably cut range to 10mil especially but made it do 0 to 60 in 3.2seconds. .. that was really it bar of course a lecture for the guy about saving the planet or something... Part ii of Venice then.. barely a few mins left in show. Treated to a cheesy song and them driving really slowly... Jordan rings with challenge, it's a race. I thought it was a ****ing range either from the start no? **** that ****. They pretend to start racing but you could not call it racing just shots of 3 boring cars on a motorway. They claimed at this point they only had the cash in their budget for fuel blah blah Jesus wept. And on and on it went.... boring, boring boring. Jordan wins the challenge. Sabine runs in cos she could not afford a water taxi. God it was weak arsed. And that was it. ... shockingly poor.... really poor. Show summary. Watch the first bit of the show, the vulcanised. Switch off after
S2 EP2 The Affair still very good and the switch to my fav character a good one. I think his name is Joshua Jackson, used to be in 1 Tree Hill. I've always though he was a poor actor but he seems to have stepped it up in this.
Holy shiiiit... Spoiler: Battle of bastards well I hope those needing a wee bit of blood letting are happy. Weep, Weep for ramsey. ..
Spoiler: Bastards Great episode, called it on the Vale and Sansa etc. Jon going full blown psychotic and battering Ramsay was great to see after the whimsy Jon we've seen this season. Ramsay died in the most perfect way by his own dogs.
Spoiler: real time spoilers bitches Epic stand off, some great lines, then ... Tormund doesn't understand English hahaha. Liking this a lot, they're building the tension well and making it seem important. Really good interaction between Sansa and Jon showing the consequences of everything. Nice compact and quick paced section in Meereen to begin too
Well that was satisfying Spoiler: spoilersofwinter watching Snow walk through those arrows and wail away on that **** then he ends up eaten by his own dogs awesome
At work now so.... Yeah... Spoiler: Nerdy ****s overall an epic story. I was getting worried due to the king the of time given to blondie. However barring the doltharki horde looking totally **** and obviously Cgi it was pretty good. Interesting tyrion telling her about she was sounding like her father... mark that. Then the whole battle thing... good ending for rickon. Better than his dog anyway. It was quite decent as it displayed boltons plan. Of course snow somehow lives in the initial bit and then we get a rather fun first person view of him basically surviving and killing. That was quite well done The battle as expected leant heavily on the theme of Hannibal battle with rome at cannae. We were at the point of closing in and slaughter when the Vale turn up. The bite to the jugular was class. The near suffocation was hard to watch for me for obvious reasons. I felt the ending a bit weak there when the Vale rode their charge round the circle. A line breaking would have made more sense. Anyway. I think the giant died well... Jon Snow battered Bolton but I felt that he left him for sansa deliberately. The ending was justice and foretold by Bolton senior. Live like a man dog like like a man dog. Great ending for the best villian Anyway... it's done now and to be rewatch ed. The fact it next week's will be set up for nex5 season now.
Spoiler: a feast for spoilers So that was really really good. Why do they save it up though and have 2/3 episodes of filler every season? Thought it was a logical, thematically and emotionally satisfying episode and the battle sequence was very well done showing the strength and individual superiority of the fighters on Snow's side but Bolton's numerical advantage. Also demonstrated Snow's courage and Ramsay's cowardice - this came across well in how the sections of the battle played out with Ramsay effectively hiding behind shields and John being the warrior leader trying to break through. Thought it was entirely appropriate how Bolton wanted to suffocate them to death in a kettle rather than slaughter them with swords and pikes, very good that. Alright the end Vale intervention was predicted and creaky but they used it with other intentions in mind, showing Sansa is a capable politician, empowered and shrewd, bringing littlewanger back. And is that all giants dead now?
Spoiler: Fists I think I woke my street up when Jon was battering him. I lost the plot completely I never expected them to show the dogs rip his throat out though. Very graphic and I loved it Sad thing is though, GoT will be poorer without Ramsay. Great actor.
