I keep on hearing people say 'whats the point of discussing it, we cant do anything about it'. Wouldn't that make the whole idea of this forum redundant.

Yeah but they could change the record. Every day its just "oh where's the 35 million Ashley/puppet pardew".

    Yawn.

How does anyone actually know that. Can Enrique, Nolan, Barton etc be trusted with what they are saying bearing in mind they all have had run ins with Ashley. Lets not forget every player has there own personal agenda, which IMO, was proved by Nolan taking the pay rise at West Ham.

This. Barton in particular has an agenda. He keeps verbalising his own issues and claiming that he is speaking out for the fans. Bullshit! He wants a better deal for himself and that is all. He'll shut up the minute he gets his own way.

There is no smoke without fire. Not all the players will have a problem but Barton clearly has some idea of where the club should be going. In some respects, what he has said shows ambition on his behalf in that he wants the club to strive to succeed. I think nolans comments have spurred Barton on to come out with what he has said. It's nothing we never knew or could of guessed at anyway.

Why does everybody on this forum seem to think a winger can play either side?

Also given how often Tash whinged about Ben Arfa not being a winger seems ironic that all of a sudden he says he can play right-wing.

Also, if we can't change it, nobody ever discuss formation porn ever again, cause we sure as **** can't change anything.

Because most wingers can play either wing...
If you watch most teams their wingers switch flanks all the time, Marveaux played RW quite a bit in France i'm sure i read somewhere and so can Gutierrez so what's the problem with RW? Also Routledge was terrible, he's been given how many chances in the Premier League now? He can't cut it so there was no point of keeping him

Not this at all! Are you two seriously trying to suggest that there is not a problem with senior players, their treatment in terms of contracts and the promises made over transfers? Players certainly do look after number one, but in the main they want to be somewhere progressive to aid their careers. Look one guy making his mouth go could be an axe to grind. But when its Carroll, Nolan, Barton, Routledge, Simpson, Enrique and others commenting you have to be extremely naive to think there is not substance to it. It's nothing we don't already know unless you have your head buried in the sand. Bottom line is when the time comes for matches, this low morale is not an excuse for players not to perform. The owners are clowns and ruthless ones but the players have a job to do. And yes it is pointless discussing it. it doesn't make the forum aspect redundant, its just its the same article everyday. **** what is going with transfers, contracts etc, we can't alter it and under this regime we have virtually no club/fan relationship. They aren't interested in involving the fans in the club, they want our money, plain and simple. And we are going to keep giving it to them, so lets not whine about things we can't change, and concentrate on the one thing we can. Making a **** load of noise when we're playing to help the players.
