Harsh, very harsh. But yeah...probably about right. Still, that's what we do, us humans. We tell ourselves stories we can be comfortable with. This version of events is neither more nor less valid than any other interpretation.
Just read this profile of Claude Puel - his methods sound more like Poch than Koeman: http://www.uefa.com/teamsandplayers/coaches/coach=51536/profile/ I have to say, that there's very little I can find regarding his tactics/philosophy etc. around the web. Even his Wikipedia article is sparse.
A human male of average height - but I think you got the gist so I'm giving you that. He's hilarious that ITKer isn't he?
He's not an ITKer, that's the point - he's just a blogger that usually reacts to info and isn't into rumour mongering! So him pretending to have ITK stuff was a surprise and believable. But it did make me laugh:
I see. Oh well I can only control what I post I suppose. I don't know anyone who works for SFC or know anyone else who knows anyone so all of my information is guess work or repeated from other sources. It will mostly be wrong except on the few occasions when it is luckily correct.
Please don't call him MP. Got me confused there thinking it was a completely left field appointment...............if you know what I mean.
I have to laugh but do you really think when he talks about "his ex neighbour that he hasn't seen for a couple of years" that he is actually talking about an ex neighbour that he hasn't seen for a couple of years? It is clearly just waffle about a not to be named contact. As for what he says. I believe the basics of it but I do think he likes to put the Hollywood version in his posts complete with embellishments. I would suspect that most of these ITKs are fed by the club. Same as leaks in politics. Put the info out there to get people on side or test waters etc. I suspect they might even feed some dodgy info through sometimes to distract. i.e. leak something about target player X, everybody is talking about player X while the board go after target Y instead. This is nothing new. It just seems strange because before it all had to be leaked to newspapers or media whereas these days the internet means you can get the message out there very easily and if someone asks "have you been feeding info to Kbilly Supersound, the club will obviously say "Who?"
Right, obviously a lot of us will take 'whoever uncle Les picks' because the club has shown themselves over the past 7 years to know what they're doing, and generally every decision is well researched and not 'a punt'. However, if we took each of the main five named candidates at the moment and rate them all on a scale of 1-10 regards our level of excitement (where 1= 'I reckon he'll do such a bad job he'll definitely be sacked inside a year, 5= 'I reckon he'll around about match what Koeman could've', and 10= 'I reckon he'll get us in the champions league within the next three years'), what would we score each candidate? I'll go first.... Frank de Boer - 6/10 Rudi Garcia - 8.5/10 Manuel Pellegrini - 9/10 Vitor Pereira - 7.5/10 Claude Puel - 5/10 I'm erring against Puel & De Boer, but to be honest I don't reckon any of the five will be a downgrade. Roll on the announcement
I wouldn't argue with any of those numbers. Pellegrini has done it all before, and to a higher level than any of the others mentioned, so he is my favourite.
