In Peter Griffin fashion, what grinds your gears? Who and what annoys you most in football? "The chairman has been dealing with it. Mata is a player we like, obviously. So do Arsenal, so do a few other clubs. But where itâs all at, I donât know." Harry Redknapp has just said this. His constant speculation on transfers really hacks me off, especially as he often doesn't sign the players he goes on about. Is it a ploy to appease the Spurs fans? As for bringing Arsenal into it, it's absolutely none of his business and he should have some respect. He gets irate at the thought of Chelsea going after Modric, and yet spouts this rubbish. Barca annoy me in a similar way. The way their players take it in turns to try and persuade/pressure clubs and players into transfers. FAbregas may well go to Barca, but does he need senior players from Barca to run their mouths? No, again, have some respect!
Unfortunately Barca's team are so arrogant they feel they're untouchable. Harry Redknapp running his mouth off does annoy me, and makes me wonder why exactly Spurs' manager hasn't just banned him from unnecessary press conferences.
Any Manchester United player's interview after a match. 'Cause it's always a referee's decision that loses them the game! Really annoys me. And Nani, he just generally annoys me! Doesn't even have to speak and I wanna hit him.
Commentators who moan about the offside rule. They moaned in the old days when players weren't interfering with play but were offside. Commentators who moan about players not being allowed to take their shirts off. Why are they so keen to ogle abs and pecs? Media reports when a player chooses a club that he "snubbed" anybody else interested.
Almost everything about the modern game gets on my tits. In fact, I'm at a loss to explain why I love it so much.
Players surrounding the ref when his/her mind is made up And players making out that they have a broken bone roll about till the ref has given a card and then as if by miracle they carry on like nothing I'm not going to name them BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO THEY ARE
I hate when the commentators/pundits refer to a decent goal, or shot as if it's the best thing in the world. Often this is the case when Barcelona are playing. They're like car salesmen sometimes, trying to persuade us that a game that has been relatively **** is the best thing you've ever seen. On a side note: Sometimes on SSN you'll get a clip from a press conference of Dalglish telling them how it's disrespectful to comment on other club's players, or even his own, regarding transfers. This is followed (by chance, and somewhat ironically) by a clip of one of Mancini/Ferguson/Redknapp talking about a player at another club as if they've already signed him.
Commentators who complain when a player goes down too easily in the box, yet they say a player should have probably gone down when they stay on their feet. In fact most commentary gets on my nerves, its hasn't been the same since the late Brian Moore passed. R.I.P
the press and their unamed "sources", Barca and the Fabregas debacle (I would frigging love for him to sign for Real Madrid now)
Liverpool fans who moan about anything and everything. I like liverpool as a football club but dislike the majority of there fans ( not all theres some cool guys ). going to get hate for this but i dont honestly care much . P.S i hate how barca think their untouchable to.
One thing I hate, 'the defender just about got the tackle in...' It's always said right after the defender makes the last minute tackle. He didn't 'just about,' he did.
The first 6 months of fame for a newly promoted club, as they rise up and become the giant killers of old (hull city, reading, blackpool etc.) and when you think, this could be a new pre team... they deflate and get relegated.
Referees. It's a hard job and we all know that mistakes will be made but we are all human and have to live with that. However, the rest of us have to explain and defend our decisions. They should be forced to do the same.
1. Liverpool and other rival fans saying Manchester United get all the decisions, yeah they might get the odd one here and there but there's plenty they don't get. For example, Chelsea's goal that didn't cross the line last year against Spurs. They picked up points there when they shouldn't have but no one mentions this and fans pretend it's just a Manchester United thing. After studying psychology for a bit, you come to understand that it's easy to come to conclusions like this but without evidence they're pointless and are often wrong. 2. Claiming Ferguson does this is just wrong, yes Mancini and Redknapp do but Sir Alex certainly does not. 3. KingPepeReina, particularly how he proclaims the whole United team except for Vidic is rubbish/overrated/going to prison/inferior to Liverpool's players. 4. People quitting early on FIFA.
Is that where they cut off to some bloke in the studio who talks about rumours on a massive screen and he has a iPad?
