Opens the group up. Still not expecting NI to get a result against the Germans, but they have something to play for...

I still don't know how they did not score. It was a bad miss by Arkardiusz Milik.

However, I am very pleased with the draw.

This tournament is really wide open. It should be quite exciting the knock out stages.

Italy get a late winner against Sweden, that result really opens up the group and give the Republic a great chance of qualifying if they can squeeze a result out of the Belgians tomorrow......

Yes it gives us a chance but will we take it? The Belgians are a quality side. We will need an awful lot of good fortune.

I think you will. Teamwork will defeat individuals as we well know from a few seasons ago.

Turkey have completely thrown the towel in against Spain. 3-0 now.

Thought Spain were superb last night, the best I've seen so far in this tournament.Iniesta is simply from another planet, the guys knocking on but he's a magician. From what I've seen so far, they are the team to beat.Italy's defence will take some breaking down though !

Good, I can get rid of this avatar soon.

Massive cheers echoing through Prague Airport when the Czechs equalised last night, lovely stuff.

It's probably been volunteered already but why do you have it? That Lacoste polo shirt you bought for £2 last summer would have been more than adequate. After all it would have been 'genuine'.

I drew Turkey in the forum sweepstake. If that's what you are asking, don't get the polo shirt reference.

Really? All the fake Lacoste shirts on sale in the beaches of Southern Europe are manufactured in Turkey and sold on every street corner in Turkish towns and resorts. The range of colours available was brilliant, the packaging looked spot on. However one wash and it morphed into a cross between fine sandpaper and cardboard and resembled a boob tube rather than a leisure shirt. Colours remained vivid and garish though. I expected nothing more to be honest but was short of tops that summer in Greece so the opportunity to buy 3 for 5 euros proved irresistible. I were dazzled by the bright colours. I was also young - just the right side of 40. (My apologies for lapsing into local Yorkshire speak)

I am renowned in my family for avoiding clothing which carries any branding, whether fake or genuine and no matter how discreet, on the grounds that I am not a free advertising hoarding.p (****ing Super Dry, shameless!) And I have only ever been to Istanbul in Turkey (though I think there was plenty of knock off stuff in the Grand Bazaar). Did the fake Rolex in Thailand once, incredibly poor value, chucked away after a day. At least with the T shirts they don't mislead you and you get one wearing from them.

I have changed my avatar to something more in keeping with the performance of the team.

We'll be lucky to stick it out the way it is going. The ref is not doing us any favours either. What has to happen for Long to get a free kick ffs.
