Tom Hardy is such a good actor. Just watched him in Legend [2015]. He plays Ronnie and Reggie Kray in a story about their lives, who they protected, who they screwed and who they killed. Normally I'm not attracted to this sort of story, although the Kray's is a bit of an exception. Throw in an exceptional acting performance by Tom Hardy and several of the cast [and there are quite a few recognisable faces] and it becomes a very watchable film. Quite violent, but then you'd expect that. Not exactly brimming with tenderness either, so it's not going to appeal to everybody. It's all about the story and it's well told, with an excellent sense of the period. Oh, and the bits where Tom has to act with Hardy, so to speak, are very well done. I liked it.

Yeah - we had to separate ourself from them, that was the issue. But to do that we had to start from scratch. Bloody frustrating. Welcome to the new way of consuming music!

Something has to change though - consumers are now getting completely confused as to what platform offers what.

    Thank you though!

He is a wonderful actor. Its so pleasing that we have moved on from the Sam Worthington's who ten years ago captured every big part going, and added nothing to it.
There's some real talent around at the moment, and this boy is near the top of tree. If you get the chance to read an interview from him or a co star, give it ten minutes, because he comes across as so difficult it makes you like him more!

I just saw that in the plane flying home. He was excellent. I wasn't that keen on the film though but Hardy was great.

I also watched Spotlight - oh my, what a good film that is.

Just looked up at the sky from my back garden and saw the moon with Mars and Saturn just below to the left and right. Its not the greatest photo, but I was pleased the planets showed up despite the brightness of the moon considering its just taken on my smartphone.
I like that we can see planets with the naked eye.
I gave up smoking 6 weeks ago with no relapses, but I do have to try and distract myself, hence the sky gazing :emoticon-0100-smile

Yeah, absolutely. If you remember I saw The Revenant, which was meant to sweep all before it at the Oscars, and then shortly after saw Spotlight, and that blew me away with the story. I said straight after on here that it would win the Best Film Oscar, hands down. And it did. No credit here, it was easily the best.

And although Spotlight is by far the better film, Legend isn't bad by any means, but Hardy is brilliant in it.

What are you talking about, that's a great photo. It just doesn't need to been seen in full size. And good luck with the non-smoking. You're well past the worst, but hey, keep distracting yourself. :)

I couldn't recall of it was you, Laces or Barry Norman who had recommended it on here :)

I also watched "Concussion" with Will Smith. Another true story (I like this type of film) and that too is excellent, as is Smith playing the rather clever Nigerian Doctor. It is actually pretty damn scary to think about the danger of CTE to American footballers.

TSS was right then. A very good film, even if the subject they are investigating is despicable.

Mrs R didn't fancy watching it, so whilst she is at work I will give it a go.

He has a recurring appearance in Peaky Blinders, in which he plays a Jewish gangster from Camden Town, he is exceptional in that as well.
