Right thread cleaned up for the last time. Phil, if you go on another board giving it the Berty Big Bollocks, there will be inevitable comeback on here and it's disrupted this thread for those who want to comment only on the football. I now ask that you STOP deliberately winding up fans from other boards who come on here. If you don't, that limits my options quickly. As for the Sunderland fans, anymore derailing or baiting of Phil and I'll have no option but to request bans as to not derail the thread (something I do not want to do as its good to have other club fans to debate with etc) Lastly to the bellend in Canada, I can handle your sad, snide remarks at me when you are unable to debate like an adult, but insults towards others will not be tolerated.
I want to post about football too marra.... I'm a football fanatic hence why I've been to places like The Vetch. Anyway... Back to the football lads Russia are by far the worst team in the group and you should have no bother getting a result against them (as long as you don't sit back again). Slovakia in my opinion have been quite unfortunate in both group games so I'm quite wary of them as England are defensively poor. I have no doubt that both Eng & Wal will qualify but who tops the group is a toss of a coin. It's imperative to me that we win the group as the passage is much easier in the top half of the draw. The minute Eng meet decent opposition they will be in trouble, Hart is a liability and defensively we are poor. The midfield is stagnant and it's essential that Sterling is dropped as he has no end product and Ali has been very disappointing too. Up front is anyone's guess, I think Kane has a hangover from Spurs poor end to the season so I'd start with Vardy as he is still going thru his golden patch. Once Bale scored yesterday I couldn't see England scoring twice but poor tactical decisions let 'Roy' & England off the hook. Definitely a chance missed on Wales part.
Sterling was gash, I watched with the lads on work and considering they are all English, he was taking a hammering off them. Hodgson did right at HT, Ash can't handle Vardy and Hodgson should have known that. Vardy has to start up top for you.
Spain look like a well drilled, fluent team. Would be a great game to watch if they were to play the Germans!
