As i said i aint seen the game yet but from what i heard on the radio just after Bales goal i told the guys cheering in work that we need 3 goals to win this cos vardy is on form and he was the only one i was worried about as long as Wales were on form ? or england would rob it right at the end ! I hate being right sometimes
I was gutted they took Sterling and Kane off as the did **** all. As soon as Vardy came on you knew our centre backs would not cope with him.
Like we did against Belgium and Slovakia? Don't agree, you cannot sit deep and invite that quality into your own box without paying, poor tactics from Coleman. Sometimes the best form of defence is attack........
Thanks Valley. I'm glad I took myself off yesterday and didn't see the inevitable nonsense. I always argue with my son about the best way to deal with top teams. He says that you have to be solid at the back and play defensively, hoping the hit them on the break. He maintains that if you try to play offensively and press too high you'll get mullered. I get all that and he has a point. It's also the perceived wisdom from coaches and adopted by Coleman yesterday. My argument is this. That approach can win you games but you have to be very, very fortunate and ride your luck - a lot. I firmly believe from what I've watched that the only time the top teams get rattled is when the opposition roll the dice bravely and get at them. Look at Northern Ireland yesterday. OK Ukraine aren't England but you get the point. I'm convinced that if we had done that against England we'd have got something, particularly after they drew level. I know others disagree but that's my take on it.
yep, dunno why Woy persisted with Kane, he's looked out of it soince he gave it large to Leicester. I wasn't too bothered about Vardy coming tbh, the guy I was worried about was Sturridge, his movement livened them up, england had lots of possession in the first half but were really slow with it, just as they were against Russia. I'm a bit pissed off, but welsh dad, English mum, born in wales, live in England, both my homelands should go through so I can;t take the loss too badly, though getting lots of pisstaking cos everyone knows Wales comes first.
Right. I'm out at the moment and won't be back on until later. If it's the same posters involved I'll be requesting bans so that the rest of us can debate the footie hassle free. If some of you don't like it ****ing tough.
Just came back to see if anyone was talking about Czech Rep v Croatia. Apparently not. I give up. This thread is important because there's a major tournament going on and have you noticed that our own fans are hardly contributing? It's been ruined and it could easily have been avoided with a little thought. Pathetic, guys.
Well I'm watching it, think Croatia will win it, but you never know, Czech's are not rolling over, nice goal by Ivan Perisic...........
Give it a rest lads this is getting ****ing tedious, no point in posting anything with all this bully big bollocks going on. We might be able to talk football on here one day!!
We've won the English Championship, 6 times. Only Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Villa, have won it more. We've got a couple of FA Cup wins, too
"Yesterday we saw the shameful and sickening sight of England fans taunting child refugees, while public figures (Russian) went out of their way to fan the flames of prejudice". - Tim Farron Anyway back to the game, good game, and a well earned draw for the Czech's, though there are likely to be repercussions with those flares..............
How the hell are they getting them in!! If terrorists are watching they must be thinking it must be a piece of piss getting something into the stadiums. Security needs a serious look at.
I know you are, and I have just given you the background of why there is poor security, not saying it's justified, matter of fact it's very worrying, because if flares can be got inside the stadiums then I'm sure ISIS could walk in with a Bomb vest, or similar, it's clearly a security, and policing issue............
