Well this has livened up a bit more. Probably English fans to blame in any case. Good to see further proof that no one has ever been killed or injured by a flare/firework/explosive in a ground too. Should be handed out by the stewards.
It's finally over. Well, that got exciting at the end, didn't it? Despite the trouble, that's probably been the best game of the Euros.
Despite? DESPITE? Proper football game that. Passion. Commitment. Full blooded. The players weren't too bad too.
It was a protest again their federation? Frig me. Coulda had someones eye out with that firework the ****s. Didn't though. Obvz perfectly safe. Soz for being a drama queen. As you were.
Interesting. I noticed there was loads of riot police at the bottom of that stand just before the flares. Not sure if there was already trouble in the stand or if they were pre-empting something?
There were no police or security in the stand though. Again. Looked like the Croats were fighting amongst themselves. There might have been trouble before the game for all we know.
No doubt some turds in the media will spin it so that the flare/fireworks 'changed the course of the game', Had the Czechs had special anti-flare training routines then?
The trouble caused the momentum to change from the Croats to the Czechs. The penalty came in the 94th minute - had that trouble not happened, there would've only been about 3 minutes added. You could tell the Croatia team had been thrown off a bit, they looked shaky as **** from that point on, and did incredibly stupid things, as the penalty showed.
