Mighty Huth Your oppinions are fine, that is what you see happening. Pulis is our future that is fine by me. IF we sign some bloody player's. Because after FIFTY years I've seen and paid out too watch absoulute garbage away from home. NO I won't this season. But, my season ticket is in hand, has been for a few months now. To ask us too pay a lot of cash and he's so negative. YOU are surly looking through those rose coloured glasses IF you think that's HOW we should approach away games. I don't mate I want us too bloody attack teams like Wolves, Baggies, QPR and all other teams, who are as you say are on our level. Pulis HAS done a fantastic job but, I'm sick to death of his interview's, it's like watching paint dry. And, sooner or later we will be found wanting. Like it or not Waddo wasn't that far away with his comments Huth. We are NOT Pulis bashing just ASKING for him to make it more enjoyable to watch. At home I don't have a problem, we do go for the win, well mostly anyway. It's away from home where I often feel that. Mr P thinks the team simply are not good enough. HOW many times last season did we come back home with 3pts? Wolves for instance was one game which was there for the taking. As was last Thursday. Too say the lads were tired. Well ******* excuse my French if they were tired ask youself Mr Pulis, who's fault is that. I get tired of hearing your negative comments as does Waddo. In our second season we did exactly the same, were you happy then? In our third season we did exactly the same, Guess what we STAYED UP ALL 3 SEASONS. You know how we play away from home( you have been enough), so if it pisses you off why go watch? Staying in the prem is not about winning pretty football matches away from home, it's about gaining HARD EARNED points. With our home form we only need 6-10 away points per season, this season will test our home form with the first 3 matches being Chelsea,Liverpool & Man Utd. Yes we need players, but trust the manager, he has not let us down yet

Mighty Huth Of course I was happy we stayed up, last season the word I would use is I was RELIEVED to be honest. I can see this season, Swansea, QPR playing good passing football, just as the Baggie's, Blackpool and Wigan do. Last season, both Baggie's and Wigan I know it was close but they stayed up. ALL I want is to see our team play more FOOTBALL MATE. To me 2nd half on Thursday we didn't play football. We just hung on and hoofed it 90% of time. Apart from and until Mr Pulis took off both WINGER'S. Now you tell me is that the right tactical decision. WHEN we are ALL agreed on here that, ONE goal might not be enough next Thursday? If you think it was fair enough. But the other excuse that ANY of our player's were tired is actually quite a stupid thing to say don't you think so Huth? First season, I was really impressed with Stoke in fact over the moon. Second season, again they surprised me and I was well chuffed. Last season at home we didn't do quite as well and I was expecting that to happen. AWAY from home NO that is why I said as you have advised me to do. I will STAY at HOME and spend what money I save on other things. I'm not happy saying that because I BELIEVE in the team whoever they are. I don't BELIEVE that Mr Pulis has the nouse, or any clue HOW to change tactic's when usually we go one down away from home. My ehtic is of course to gain points. LOGIC I know but if it means losing more away games, winning more home games and STILL staying up. I would gladly shell out for away games. For now, I will give T.P. the benifit of any worrie's I do have that he will be more positive. Both when on t.v, radio especially before games. AND what is more important to me is WHAT he does in this tranfer market. I REALLY TRULY hope I'm asked to eat bucketfuls of HUMBLE PIE. i CARE ABOUT Stoke mate, so do all of us. I didn't worry about Mr Pulis he's done a great job. I worry because IF I don't feel confident when he's saying things like we are looking at but they don't/didn't want or our wage cap won't budge on this or that player. We struggle and get relegated. He hasn't let us down yet mate, too true. Let's hope for all our sakes and more so OUR CLUB he dosen't this time. I think we will get very dizzy cos we are almost going around in circles talkng about this. I said ages ago, I would give Mr Pulis until the end of the transfer market and I will.
Mighty Huth, I forgot too add this mate. It's NOT your fault I know but... TRY going to almost, not all but quite a few away game when, you have to spend at least half the 90mins standing up because IF you didn't ya can't see the pitch. Blackburn is just one example. Huth, now I can not stand, can hardly walk too far these days. So what's this PLEASE SIT DOWN plea to the clowns three rows in front of us away, who persist on standing. so we got to the FA Cup final with the easiest run in we have had for years, Cardiff, Wolves, Brighton, Westham, Bolton and then lost when we came up against a decent side. Got into Europe by default as a result and could have finished a lot higher in the league had he motivated the players on the last day and put another 4 million into Coates coffers! It's the TP is the " Messiah Brigade" that need to get a grip. We can't win away to save our lives and rely on the bear pit atmosphere and smallest pitch in the prem to pick up points from the still used today "Rory long throw" Yes I'm from the Waddo era where i used to watch quality footballers and a team of Internationals like Conroy, Greenhoff, Banks, Hurst, Hudson, Shilton etc.etc.etc. TP has 100% took us as far as he knows how to and i swear he will throw Europe this coming Thursady. i hope I'm wrong and if I am I will make an apology on here fact! My OP anyway was about how negative Pulis is in the papers and how it must rub off on the players so you can't deny that Huthy otherwise you must read the Sentinel with rose tinted glasses on!
Something just occured to me. It's the older generation (sorry lads) like myself, Potts and Nick that witnessed the Stoke of old and the respect they commanded and their team of brilliant professionals that are dismissive of TP's style of play and approach to the game. Whilst it's the younger generation that are just pleased that we are in the premieship irrespective of how we perform or play and become a laughing stock of the football communtiy. How many times od we hear " Aguerro great signing for Man City but how will he cope at Stoke on a wet and windy cold Tuesday night?" I know we are Not a top 4 club ( I remember when we were though ) top of the old first division after a 3-0 win away at Birmingham! All is ask for is for Pulis to turn out a decent side with a decent game plan and have a go. Every manager in the football premiership worth his salt now has Pulis's number. Get to half time 0-0 then have a little pop at them and if we score take off Ethers and pennant and bring on the cloggers and sap up the remaining 20 minutes. It's ****e and I'm sick of watching it to be honest but I'm a Stokie and have been for 47 years so like Potts I'll be there with my season ticket shouting my head off and willing us on. All I ask if for Pulis to give the fans something back in return!
Seriously? I can't believe you're all so pessimistic about Pulis. We just got to our first ever FA Cup Final (winning by the biggest margin since Hitler invaded Poland). He always talks rubbish to the press, just like most other managers. For all his faults you can't accuse him of not getting the team fired up. It's obvious we're going to bring more players in, he said just a week ago he would be very disappointed if we didn't bring in four or five by the end of August (those were more or less his exact words).
Fuller were all for the SAME bloody reason mate Stokie's with red and whtie blood it's obvious we are on here ALL of US. Fans like Waddo, Nicky myself Boothen etc are NOT as Waddo say's wanting us to be a TOP 4 club, just want to see some decent football. Even Mighty Huth in a comment earlier said quote. "If we start this season with Whelan and Delap in midfield I will scream" So, he's obviously not truly happy is he. We are NOT Pulis bashing, just asking too go and watch STOKE play more football. We ain't Brazil there will NEVER be a side as good. Maybe Barca are as close as I've seen and the Dutch World Cup winning team were fantasic. We just want a team where the TEN outfield player's can actually PASS and go. Not just panick and hoof it. Which is what i saw the first two seasons away from home. ANYONE who say's we didn't is either blind, stupid or both no offence but if you are happy watching that style at ANY COST fair play. I am getting sick of it. We CAN however find at least three or four decent player's who can find another Stoke shirt not just give it away having worked hard to win the ball in the first place. He did what HE HAD to do to keep us up. He said "I will take this club forward slowly but surly but not at ANY PRICE" Fine by me but it ain't asking TOO MUCH is it Fuller G for us to ask for a little better than what we currently HAVE as our squad. Yes or No? I sincerely believe in fact I'm certain that, with a GOOD midfield which we don't have right now. We WOULD see a different Stoke City. And, no longer would we be labelled as just hoofer's with a fantastic fan base. He has the fans right behind him Fuller, me included. But I suggest he gets those player's in QUICKLY because otherwise it's same old same old. That, to me anyway isn't taking us anywhere other than mid table IF we are lucky that is. And IF we get the said player's just watch us tear a few teams apart, we are THAT close to having a really good side, just needs an MOT on one or two parts and we're sorted. SORRY for the long comment/s but understand that we are NOT Pulis hater's we just think he could do a little better. Maybe IF we ALL sang Dellilah for 90 mins that would work. And spend a few quid on player's while we're at it. The atmosphere isn't quite what was at home these days Fuller G. Because many me included are not happy with how the team is set up. Spot on Potts as usual mate. I said to my daugher all last season that we were not as loud as we were and I actually remember going three games in succession that we didn't even have a rendition of Delilah which was most unusual. If the loud records can be taken seriously i think we are now down to 6th with even Blackpool being louder then us. This is because most genuine fans are disillusioned with the team and how it's set up. Pulis does chat garbage in the press i will agree on that, but for once i would like to read some positive stuff instead of all the negative crap he constatnly comes out with and making it look like he has his excuses even before we kick off. Also why do we have to bring in mega earners and top flight players. There are plently of really talented young lads out there playing good football at lower level that would jump at the chance of being a prem players and give their all. Look at Jonny Walters for instance. he was hardly a household name before he came to Stoke and yet i bet every kid in the country that follows football knows who he is now. The likes of the Kenwyne Jones's of the world swagger about do waht they have to and draw their big pay cheque at the end of the month yet a young lad trying to make a name for himself will run his legs off to get up there. As I have said before when TP starts to have the balls to line his side up to have a good go away from home and aginst the top sides he will gain my respect but until then I seriously don't rate him!

To reiterate I do not hate anybody, don't even dislike Pulis - how can I, I don't know the man, but .......................... Defensive football can be a pleasure to watchn a 10 man Inter against Barcelona for example, but........... Anyway, I will never be so happy if I am proven wrong, won't hold my breath though
You see this is where I struggle to debate! I understand that there is pro and anti TP fans, but the anti TP fans all accept that TP did a great job in getting us promoted and keeping us up in the 1st season - Excellent. What the pro TP fans wont accept (which is where the sensible debate stops) is that STOKE CITY under TP is 3rd highest NET spending team in the prem league over the last 3 seasons! That is a black and white fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yet you could argue (debate if there were two sensible sides) that the team has moved backwards given that we lost more prem games and finished in our lowest league position last term! Team TP will shout from the heavens that we are a better team (which I agree), so that immediatley contradicts your arguement of how well TP is doing - he has spent more money, has better players yet delivers worse results than in our 1st season! Team TP will masturbate until they get sores on their sweaty palms about our triumph in the FA Cup, a draw that we looked very average against lower opposition (except Bolton which was fanatastic - well done TP) and you would have expected any prem team or a top half championship team (Burnley 2009) to have done the same! Oh and the mighty europe qualifiers - well what can I say - at least we didnt get there by the fair play league! Oh and the final insult to any person with an ounce of intelliginece! When we win TP is a GOD, when we lose the players didnt perform! Are those the players from the squad that TP has spent all that money on?

It just pisses me of Nik. We are the 1st to say when TP does good things but we cant say anything negative, regadless of how constructive you try to be! It is not about being negative, its about the facts. When facts devalue the perception of how great evrythng gets the get all pissy, and when we perform or have a great run (normally because TP has to play his best team in the right positions) they are on the forums rubbing it in our faces! It makes me wonder if relegation would be the only thing that would actually open theior eyes, but then again there would be plenty of excuses defending the top quality motivator as to the reasons HIS TEAM/SQUAD let him down!
I wouldn't assume which camp and my comments were not aimed at you directly just the general TP can do no wrong brigade!
